Third Spear, Manmaruba is an insect-like member of the Seven Darkness Spears of the Jakanja and the central antagonist in Ninpu Sentai Hurricaneger. He has the ability to observe fate in an unavoidable way, making him a valuable asset to the Jakanja.
He was voiced by Takahiro Imamura.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Plotted the revenge against the Gouraigers for deceiving him into thinking they were the last two spears and secretly infected Ikkou with a Space Scorpion egg.
- Observed the death of Ikkou, and when he saw that he would die too, he created a clone of him to replace him when the fate comes to pass.
- When he observed the future he triumphed and killed both teams during a deadly meteor shower, he created a plan to complete this future.
- Placed life-draining neck rings on the Hurricanegers as well as many acquaintances of the Gouraigers to force them into a confrontation at Onibi New Town.
- Brutally beat down the Gouraigers during their battle.
- Consumed the Gouraigers.
- Attacked and tried to destroy the Hurricanegers.
- While he never betrays his boss Tau Zant or his fellow spears, it's less out of care for any of them and more so he can benefit from his role in Jakanja. Plus, he's later motivated by his own personal revenge.
- Even if the Gouraigers deceived him and defected from the Jakanja, it's simply a petty excuse as he tortured many innocents unrelated to their deception and he was already a willing member of Jakanja from the beginning of the series.
Trivia[]
- He is one of three Pure Evils in Ninpu Sentai Hurricaneger, alongside Tau Zant and Sandaaru.
- He is Pure Evil, while his Power Rangers counterpart Motodrone isn't, as Motodrone was initially an innocent human who was accidentally mutated before being made into a separate being from Perry who's only committed standard villainy. Also Motodrone is fully loyal to Lothor post separation.
