Mandrake is the final antagonist of the animesque animated series High Guardian Spice. He is a minion of The Triumvirate, as well as Olive's rival, who seeks to kill the High Guardian Spice group as well as the entire High Guardian Academy both out of orders from the Triumvirate and out of bloodlust.
He was voiced by A.J. Beckles.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Since he is a minion of The Triumvirate, then he is guilty of their crimes by association, including terrorism and battling the Guardians.
- Threatened to snap Olive's pet cat named Kino's neck while showing a sadistic grin.
- Olive's frightened expression and dialogue implies that Mandrake wasn't saying this to intimidate her, but likely was serious.
- Threatened Olive to do whatever he says, otherwise she would be executed by the Triumvirate.
- Tried to stab Rosemary in the back by manipulating her into a hug while disguised as her lost mother, Lavender.
- Tried to poison every teacher with a secret, deadly potion inside the forge and became aggravated when Olive gave him the wrong potion.
- Tried to set High Guardian Academy ablaze to kill everyone inside (including children), locking dozens of students and staff inside of the forge so that they will burn to death, directly going against the Triumvirate's orders in the process.
- Tried to dispose of Rosemary, Sage, Parsley, and Thyme when they try to save the school, even using the latter as a hostage.
- Tried to finish Olive off when she redeems herself and atones for her actions.
- While attacking her, he shape-shifts into her as a taunt for her weaknesses and to mislead the girls into mistakenly attacking Olive.
- Attempted to kill Rosemary in cold blood during their last fight. While doing so, he shape-shifts into Lavender to prey on her insecure side.
- When called out by The Triumvirate and Lavender for his actions, Mandrake cowardly tries to escape punishment and deflect the blame onto Olive, to no avail.
- Despite only appearing in one episode. Mandrake is able to use his resources and screen time to commit the most depraved crime in the entire series by trying to kill dozens of children and staff members by burning down the High Guardian Academy and disobeying his bosses' commands, thus standing out from the rest of the villains.
