Malekith the Accursed is the main antagonist of the 2013 video game adaptation of the Marvel film, Thor: The Dark World.
He is the cruel leader of the Dark Elves, who plots to plunge the universe into eternal darkness.
He was voiced by Marc Thompson, who also voiced Megatron X and Soundblaster in Transformers: Cyberverse.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Prior to the events of the game, he once attempted to destroy the universe.
- Sending the Marauders to attack Nidavellir and steal Uru weapons, killing many dwarves who lived there.
- After Marauders' attack failed, Malekith had the Dark Elves free the monster, Mangog, to distract Thor and Fandral while they steal the Bloodaxe and the Sword of Torunn.
- Having the Dark Elves attack a village on Vanaheim, killing countless people.
- On both Jotunheim and Vanaheim, he had the Dark Elves attempt to perform rituals to destroy the universe.
- Leading the Dark Elves to attack Asgard in an attempt to retrieve the Uru weapons after they were recovered by Thor.
- Brainwashing Odin to hand over the Uru weapons, thus turning him and his own son, Thor, against each other.
- Aligning himself with Loki to hand over Thor and Mjolnir to him in exchange for conquering Asgard.
- Although he made promises to Loki, the Frost Giants and the Marauders, his plans involved plunging the universe into eternal darkness and killing everyone, thus breaking those vows for his own gain.
- Performing a ritual using the Uru weapons in an attempt to destroy the universe so they can rule over what is left.
- After the ritual failed and mutated Malekith, he made a last ditch effort to kill Thor once and for all.
- While he claimed that he wants his people to thrive and that Thor condemned them to death, Thor rightfully retorted that Malekith did that himself, meaning that he is hypocritical and doesn't see that he doomed his own people.
