I'm Reed Richards. The ultimate Reed Richards. The one who's finally going to solve everything.
~ The Maker.
If you had the chance... would you erase me from existence? I'll keep that in mind.
~ The Maker to Mister Fantastic.

Reed Richards, also known as Mister Fantastic and the Maker is one of the two main antagonists of the Ultimate Marvel universe (alongside Magneto) and a major antagonist of the wider Marvel Comics multiverse. He's the arch-enemy of his former teammate, the Fantastic Four.

Unlike most alternative version of Reed Richards, he's a sociopath seeking to conquer Earth and improve the human race as he sees them as "flawed" while lacking any redeemable and heroic features the mainstream universe Mister Fantastic has.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]

In General[]

  • While he does have an tragic backstory that might have explained why he turned evil, it all proven to be null in the end and showed he has zero excuse for his actions. Dropping any heroic and redeeming qualities he once had. Becoming a sadistic, egotistical, power-hungry madman in the end of it all. Even his claims of wanting to save the world and humanity are lies, as he's really a petty sociopath with a god complex who seeks attention for his own deranged ego.

Original Ultimate Universe[]

  • After faking his death, he murders his own parents and sisters (one was a toddler and the other being a child) before arranging alien attacks, killing hundreds of people over the course of a few days.
  • He began torturing Sue after she confronts him, stating he's going to "save" Earth while attempting to wipe out all heroes.
  • After being defeated and sent to another dimension, Reed began the the Children of Tomorrow within the dimension he was in and began another invasion on the Earth. He has his city grow and expand in Europe, absorbing entire cities and their population within.
  • Begins capturing numerous superheroes sent after him and began vivisecting them.
  • After learning that the Asgardians could become a threat to him, he has his Children lead a genocidal crusade on Asgard, killing millions of Asgardians and absorbing their knowledge into the City. Leaving Thor as the only surviving Asgardian, mocking him and then starts brutally torturing him and send him to Shield as a warning.
  • Starts murdering a race known as the emissary of Tian and has his Children assault the city and wipe the peaceful people of Tian after requesting he stands down.
  • Launched an anti-matter attack that killed the President, his Cabinet and the Congress. It also ended up killing thousands of people and reduced the U.S. government to ashes.
  • He used the Infinity Stones to dominate the Earth and remake it, brutalizing several heroes in the process. instituting martial law and has machines threatening the lives of those who oppose him or commit crimes no matter how minor it is.
  • Learning Tony Stark has the last infinity stone in his brain, he has him captured and dissected and removed his brain. Then starts playing around with his brain, causing Stark immense pain just for fun. He allowed Stark to make a heroic speech afterwards only to cut him off mid sentence by seizing his heart, allowing Stark to die slowly.
  • Instead of helping Kang in saving their universe from a cataclysm, he instead attempted to rewrite it in his image despite being warned it'll end the world which he shrugs it off and showed no care for the consequences. All of this for his insane, selfish ego.
  • Pretended to show remorse for his actions and redeem himself so he could rebuild his city army in secret, secretly annihilating alternate Earths behind the Heroes' backs to ensure they don't get in his way and to protect his world, having destroyed over 60 universes in the process.
  • Manipulates the World's government and the heroes into waging a bloody war with Earth-616 knowing neither world would survive. This was merely a distraction to construct him a "Life Rift" machine so that he'll survive a multiversal calamity in which he'll build his own world in his image.
  • Betrays mainstream Reed Richards during the 2015 Secret War event for being weak, trapping him in a time bubble that devolves him into an ape. He plans to use Molecule Man to rewrite reality as he sees fit.

Mainstream Universe[]

  • He made contact with the Afterlife which gives him the power to attempt on turning thousands of people into undead slaves.
  • Has butchered and vivisected the minds of his colleagues and his new Children to make them into his loyal slaves.
  • Attempts to use a reality warping device to rapidly evolve humanity into his new Children only to serve him as slaves. Vaporizing a version of Captain America for realizing he's a madman.
  • Tried to put Peter Parker's young godson, Normie Osborn, on a machine to experiment with his symbiote codex.
    • He later did the same to an innocent family that was possessed by some symbiotes, showing no remorse when said procedure proved to be painful.

New Ultimate Universe[]

  • After arriving on Earth-6160, the Maker used the Immortus Engine to reshape the history of said world as he saw fit, establishing himself as the imperator and preventing the emergence of any threat to him, these changes included:
    • Preventing Thor from becoming King of Asgard, allowing Loki to kill Odin and take the throne instead while Thor was imprisoned.
    • Believing that long-term peace was unattainable, the Maker also created a secret council with all the nations of the world to orchestrate fake conflicts and alliances to rally citizens together.
    • The Maker, seeing that there was a variant of himself, used the Immortus Engine to delayed Reed Richards and his team's space flight by several hours. While the extent of the damage was unknown, what is known is that during the spaceflight, Johnny Storm burst into flames causing him to burn to death while in the rocket. While Ben Grimm, Reed and Sue survived the disaster, Ben would later take his own life due to the trauma caused by the event and Sue would pass away weeks later from cosmic radiation "tearing her cells apart."
      • Earth-6160's Reed Richards would later be blamed for the catastrophic spaceflight, causing him to receive a lifelong prison sentence and be despised by the Storm family.
      • Some time later, Reed would later be kidnapped by The Maker and although he would be tortured in The Dome for weeks on end, this would be the equivalent of centuries due to the Maker's dominion over the fourth dimension. In The Maker's own words, "I can squeeze centuries of pain into a few thin moments. I can make a single conversation last a lifetime." Over this torture, The Maker would brainwash this universe's version of Reed Richards to become "Doom", gaslighting him and making him believe that him losing his family was his own fault.

Trivia[]

  • This is the first version of Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic to be evil and by extension, the only one to be Pure Evil thus far.
