| “ | Allow me to introduce myself: my name is Madame Kassandra - purveyor of long-lost treasures of the seven seas! For those on a budget. | „ |
| ~ Kassandra introducing herself to SpongeBob. |
| “ | Silence! I am now the queen of the ocean, and with the power of the cosmic jelly, I will reshape the seas according to my wishes! | „ |
| ~ Kassandra revealing her true intentions to SpongeBob and King Neptune. |
Madame Kassandra, reputed as the Purveyor of Long-Lost Treasures of the Seven Seas, is the main antagonist of the 2023 platform video game SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake, and the overarching antagonist of its 2025 sequel SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide.
She is a mysterious mermaid fortune-teller and sorceress that sells magical items, who secretly plots to overthrow King Neptune and conquer the world using Cosmic Jelly. To this end, she sells Neptune's wish-granting bubble soap to SpongeBob and Patrick, who accidentally destroy reality with its power, and tasks them with collecting Cosmic Jelly for her under the guise of wanting to help them repair the world, before revealing her true colors.
She was voiced by Sirena Irwin, who also voiced the Ice Cream Lady in The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie.
What Makes Her Pure Evil?[]
- She stole King Neptune's Cosmic Jelly and gave it to SpongeBob and Patrick at Glove World, lying to them that it can grant any wish to those Pure of Heart, taking advantage of their naivety. This ends up kickstarting the plot of the game.
- She tricks the two into releasing multiple Cosmic Jelly monsters onto Bikini Bottom to attack and endanger their friends.
- Even before her villainous reveal, she consistently insults SpongeBob and Patrick as they go through different "Wishworlds" and was perfectly willing to abandon them at any moment, merely using them so that she could gain power.
- She sends SpongeBob and Patrick across different alternate universes and forces them to fight through many monsters, with each world being worse than the previous one. This also causes Patrick to get turned into a balloon.
- She enslaves Squidward by turning him into a giant Jelly monster and using him to try to kill SpongeBob and Patrick. After they defeat Squidward, she makes one last attempt to kill SpongeBob and Patrick by trapping them in a wormhole and fighting them.
- While she returns in Titans of the Tide, with her needing SpongeBob and Patrick to free her so that she can tell them how to stop King Neptune, her alliance with them is not only brief, but purely pragmatic, as she only helps them to benefit herself, and once King Neptune actually arrives to attack them, she willingly abandons them yet again to save her own skin.
- Despite the high heinous standards of the series, Kassandra stands out easily due to nearly trapping not only everyone in Bikini Bottom in a black hole, including the powerful King Neptune, but attempting to take over the multiverse through SpongeBob and Patrick freeing her, declaring she will "bend the Seven Seas and beyond to her will". This arguably makes her the largest scale of threat of all SpongeBob villains so far. Personal villainy also gives her an edge, as King Neptune is implied to have dealt with her in the past, and SpongeBob and Patrick are horrified to see Kassandra turn Squidward into a jelly monster against his will.
Trivia[]
- She is the first of the SpongeBob SquarePants video game villains to be approved as Pure Evil.
- She, the Frogfish Monster, and Queen Karen are the only three female SpongeBob SquarePants Pure Evils.
