It's over! I'm putting you out of the hero business for good! Spider-Man, you're fired!
~ Carlyle to Spider-Man as he blows up a factory in an effort to kill him.

Luke Carlyle, also known as the Mad Bomber, is a major antagonist in the 2007 video game Spider-Man 3.

He is the leader of the H-Bombers and a former director of his own industries, in which he led a series of terrorist attacks in pursuit of vengeance against the city for shutting him down. He stands out because of his selfish nature and for being a heartless terrorist.

He was voiced by Neil Ross, who also voiced Morhurl in Forestia, both prime Green Goblin and his alternate reality counterpart in Spider-Man: The Animated Series, and Yevgeny Borisovitch Volgin in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]

  • Allowing his company to create mass pollution just so he could continue gaining profit.
  • Destroying his own building along with employer inside, innocent or not.
  • Leading a bombing spree across the city as revenge for rightfully shutting him down, killing countless people in the process.
  • Trying to destroy the entire subway system and kill everyone inside.
  • He personally launched an attack on a chemical plant, he planted a bomb there and blew up the factory.
  • He led an attack on the Daily Bugle and tried to kill all of its employees with bombs.
  • He kidnapped Jameson and threw him out of the helicopter whilst he had an electric collar that would kill him if he got too far away from a transmitter.
  • After Spider-Man blew up his helicopter, Carlyle retreated while detonating a bomb onboard that killed his own H-Bombers.

Exclusive to Spider-Man 3 GBA[]

  • He was ripping off people in the past before J. Jonah Jameson exposed him while he is mad his actions by taking innocents lives does not justify his business getting shut down in any way
  • He set countless bombs killing thousands of people
  • He had his men kidnap J. Jonah Jameson and almost had him killed until Spiderman saved his life
  • Terrorized New York with bombs since the beginning using bombs and holding many innocents hostage
  • Bombed a building killing even more innocent people.
  • Had his men try to use a helicopter with Missiles try to bomb and kill Spider-Man and succeeded in killing even more innocent people
  • In the final battle with Spider-Man he killed several of his men and does not show any remorse proving he does not care about them as he sends them to die and uses his bombs to intenerate them giving them a brutal death he nearly kills Spiderman by throwing many bombs at him which severally hurt him
  • While he does get brutally Killed by Spider-Man by having his own bomb incinerate him it is not played with sympathy at all and he completely deserves it for his horrendous crimes
