Master Bison, more commonly known as M. Bison (known as Vega in Japan), is the main antagonist of the Street Fighter franchise. He is the tyrannical, diabolical, manipulative and heartless leader of the Shadaloo terrorist organization, and the most authoritative and powerful villain in the series.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
Background[]
- Killed his own parents when he was young, and later bragged about it.
- Prior to the start of the series, he murdered his mentor and his fellow students before he mastered Psycho Power.
- Though his soul while using the Soul Power had two distinct sizes (one good and other evil), he chose to expel all the goodness that was in his soul and become entirely evil.
- Runs a criminal and terrorist organization that commits all sort of crimes around the world. This includes selling weapons to terrorists and smuggling drugs across the world.
- Is said to be a dictator who "rules his empire with an iron fist" implying that he rules over some territory and is very cruel to those under his rule, including those who work for him.
- Has kidnapped others and performed horrific, inhumane experiments on them.
In General[]
- Captured teenage girls and brainwashed them into becoming the Shadaloo Dolls.
- Killed Cammy's parents and brainwashed her.
- Manipulated Sagat into joining Shadaloo with the promise of having his revenge on Ryu. After Ryu was captured and brainwashed (to even Sagat's disgust), Bison put them against each other for a rematch.
- Had Juri Han's parents murdered by a Shadaloo death squad. He also took her left eyeball.
- Hired Vega, a bloodthirsty narcissistic who slowly and painfully kills his victims, as one of his enforcers, and has him carry out assassinations for him.
- Sent Vega to assassinate Chun-Li, ending with her getting hospitalized and Vega getting killed.
- Sent Cammy to assassinate the British Minister of Justice, which she succeeded in.
- Orders Sagat to kill Cammy and Vega (if he wasn't already dead) for their failures.
- Brainwashed Ken Masters and made him fight his best friend Ryu to the death.
- Tried to kill Sakura Kasugano in front of Ryu after she saved his life by taking a Psycho Crusher that was meant for him.
- Tried to cause a nuclear holocaust by detonating every nuclear warhead on Earth with a doomsday code stolen from MI6.
- Murdered Guile's friend, Charlie Nash and taunted him about his death when facing him in battle.
- Murdered Chun-Li's father, and taunted her about it.
- Has attempted to take over the world numerous times.
- On several occasions, planned and attempted to have entire cities destroyed.
- Tried to possess Ryu against his will and take over his body by brainwashing on several occasions as his psycho power is starting to exceed his own.
- Plotted Operation C.H.A.I.N.S, which involves using seven satellites known as the Black Moons to emit electromagnetic pulses all around the world ensuing chaos so then his Psycho Power can increase to the point of making him unstoppable.
- Caused a resurrected Charlie to sacrifice himself in order to weaken him so that Ryu would be able to defeat him.
- Slaughtered most of T. Hawk's tribe, including his father, and forced the remainder of his tribe to depart from their land. He also made T. Hawk's friend and his lover into one of his Dolls, making him a very personal enemy to T. Hawk.
- Even though he returned in Street Fighter 6, allows the player to feed his horse, and is somewhat less evil than before, it doesn’t count as redemption or a redeeming feature, as he lost his memory, but retained his sadistic and violent tendencies.
- He killed three thugs for mocking him, even after they begged for their lives.
- In his Street Fighter 6 arcade ending, he nearly choked Juri to death to satisfy his hunger for power.
Trivia[]
- M. Bison is the only purely evil villain to be a member of Bad-Anon in the 2012 Disney film, Wreck-It Ralph. However, while pure evil during arcade hours as it's his job, he's friendly at Bad-Anon.
- While he's the evilest character in the Street Fighter franchise, his two live-action adaptation incarnations don't count as PE. One has a code of honor and sincerely believes in his well-Intentioned cause even if he's a major egotist and narcissist. The other genuinely loves his daughter and threatened his minion with death if something ever happens to her.
