He's the little boy who used to pull the legs off insects. He's the little boy who, on a hot summer's day, held a magnifying glass to his best friend's neck and watched him burn. He's the part of you who wants all your friends to fail. The part of you that loves to watch horror movies. The part of you that lusts after meaningless sex. He's cruel! He's selfish! He thinks terrible things. He's you.
~ The Lows describe Low Lister to David Lister

Low Lister is the main antagonist of the Red Dwarf episode "Demons & Angels". He is the evil third of David Lister who was created from his worst attributes personified by the Triplicator.

He was portrayed by Craig Charles like his original counterpart.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]

  • Trying to loot the main Red Dwarf crew's supplies.
  • Killing the High Cat and High Kryten.
  • Tormenting Dave Lister (his complete form) and kidnapping him alongside the other lows.
  • Torturing Dave by forcing him to do he and the other Lows' bidding through a mind controling spinal implant.
  • Using the possessed Dave to kill both his High self as well as the High Rimmer and attempting to kill the remainder of the main Red Dwarf crew.
  • Abandoning his own crew and sneaking aboard the main Red Dwarf ship to continue his plans.

Trivia[]

  • He is also the first pure evil alternate version of Lister to appear, followed by Lister's Other Self from the novel Last Human.
