Love Machine is the main antagonist of the 2009 anime film Summer Wars. He is a sentient and malevolent computer virus infecting OZ that becomes more powerful by consuming other avatars, and seeks to gain total control of the world.
What Makes Him Pure Evil[]
- He sees all of his atrocities as a game.
- He consumes over millions of OZ avatars to make himself stronger, obtaining all of their online contents and accesses.
- By messing with the OZ algorithm, he causes mass traffic congestion and electrical interferences across the planet.
- After Sakae Jinnouchi encourages everyone in her phone book to keep working, he kills her by cutting off her heart monitor during the middle of the night to ensure nobody could save her until it was too late.
- He hijacks the Arawashi satellite and deorbits it on a collision course with a nuclear power plant.
- After Natsumi beats him at Koi-Koi to win all hacked accounts, he intentionally redirects the satellite's impact site towards the Jinnouchi estate out of rage for losing.
- During Kenji's attempt to obtain control of the Arawashi, he keeps locking him out to ensure the satellite will strike the family, and would have succeeded if King Kazma didn't destroy him.
