Lord William de Soulis is the primary antagonist of the Soulis legend, popular among the Scottish-English borders. He was a brutal noble whose crimes were so horrific the entire castle upon where he resided started to sink "under the weight of its own sins", he is infamous for summoning the demonic entity known as Robin Redcap and according to local lore was finally defeated by being boiled alive in his own cauldron at a field near his castle by enraged locals, who finally rebelled against his tyranny.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Routinely had children captured, tortured and sacrificed to the Devil so he could keep his dark powers.
- Engaged in nightly torture, rape and mutilation of young girls and women from the local community.
- Happily summoned Robin Redcap and allowed the demon to further terrorize the area.
- Any men of local area were executed, slain or enslaved unless they were strong enough to resist.
- Upon physical death was condemned to a ghostly existence, where even to modern day he is believed to try and torment any he can come across.
