“ | Speak as if it is unending torment all you want, prince. But the fact is, under ordinary circumstances, I could live with such a thing. Knowing how much agony, and suffering the six of you would undergo at the thought of what either Cozy Glow, or any number of dark influences may arise to take advantage of your worlds newfound weakness. In fact.........you could say that this may tip the scales of balance in favor of Darkness. | „ |
~ Tirek to Duck. |
“ | It's Tirathos now, ram.......or whatever you truly are. I believe it's time to raise the curtains on this macabre play, and unveil who the trickster truly is. | „ |
~ Tirathos to "Grogar". |
“ | Indeed. We ARE villains, who are never to be trusted. Worse still, you underestimated me. You thought I would truly be your willing servant, and play whatever childish games you had in store for us all?! Fool! Now you will feel the bitter sting of failure as all your plans are derailed. Now, give me your magic, imposter! | „ |
~ Tirathos before taking away "Grogar's" magic. |
Lord Tirek is the main antagonists of the MLP fanfic series known as the "Harmoniaverse" created by kahnac.
He is a power-hungry centaur who was born 4,000 years ago with the power to drain the magic and abilities out of other creatures. He is based on his G4 and G1 incarnations. He is the descendant of Tirac and his successor to carry on his dark legacy. He is also the archenemy of Dusk Shine.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
In General[]
- He is cruel, sadistic, manipulative, and uncaring for others. To him, all others are mere pawns in his ever-growing schemes. Though he is also extremely arrogant, he doesn't allow it to cloud his judgement and he NEVER takes any slack from anyone. He doesn't mess around, and is willing to kill others to have his way. Even if he uses others to kill for him, they still kill in his name. will go to any lengths, corrupt everything that is, and kill any no matter their age, species or gender to get what he wants.
- Unlike his canon counterpart, he is very unsympathetic, has no comedic moments, doesn't almost get redeemed, and he will not hesitate to kill to achieve his goals. He is without conscience, or reason, and holds no regard for the lives of others. Their lives are his to bargain, and trade with, or take for himself and those who serve him, he sees them as a means to an end.
- He is easily the most evil and most heinous character in the Harmoniaverse due to his sadistic and manipulative personality, the amount of damage he causes, and his end goals.
Past[]
- He murders his parents and had lied and manipulated his brother, Scorpan, that it was the ponies who did it.
- He removed his own heart from his body to create his own personal monster-servant, and so he could accomplish his goals without being hindered by the potential weaknesses of any lingering, positive emotions that may still live inside him.
- He tried to steal a pony's magic which caused an explosion that trapped the pony and his mentor Sendak inside a cave, he left them for dead, and Sendak was captured by King Vorax and sent to work in the mines for life.
- He trapped Scorpan in a time capsule and if it weren't for Emerald Wonder's intervention, and his latent potential for magic despite being an Earthling, he would have remained trapped there for the rest of his life.
- He had it prepared for a long time.
- He seeks to steal all magic from Equestria to become all-powerful and to rule over it with an iron fist.
- Does everything his original G4 conterpart does in season 4.
- Convincing Discord to join his side and backstab him
- He succeeds in stealing all magic from Equestria.
- He attempted to take over the whole universe after absorbing all Dusk's alicorn magic.
- His defeat at the hooves of Dusk Shine and the ponies sparked a burning hatred, and fierce desire for vengeance even Chrysalis couldn't ever hope to achieve.
The Price of Freedom[]
- Tirek had twisted Cozy Glow to his own way of thinking, making her believe that friendship was power.
- He also was the one to help Cozy Glow gain her cutie mark in channeling dimensional portals to Tartarus.
- He manipulated Cozy Glow into forging the Nosferatu Armor he now wears in order to maintain his prime.
- He then manipulated her into draining all the magic from Equestria as a back-up plan to free himself from Tartarus.
- He knew her ambition would lead to her betraying him. So he ran with it by convincing her to send the Mane Seven (Spike included) his way in order to trap them with him forever.
- Though he helped the Mane Six escape from Tartarus by giving Dusk his remaining magic to her for escape, he convinced them to set him free allowing him to escape.
- He also brings up how, because Dusk Shine is an Alicorn, he will out live his friends, breaking his spirit and causing him to blame himself.
- Also, when Pinkie Pie tried to annoy him, he got furious, grabbed her neck, and tried to blast her head off.
- He had captured Spike in a bubble and made Dusk give up Cozy Glow.
- He creates golden, lasso-like rings and raps them around Dusk's neck and chokes him. Which was giving her a throttling, shocking, burning pain. Celestia was crying out. The sight made Tirek laugh.
- He even states that he chose this fate.
- He then pulled out a boulder with his magic and hurled it at Neighsay and would have killed him if it wasn't for Discord.
- Tirek turns Discord into a marionette and was about to burn him with a fireball.
- When Dusk tried to make Tirek turn good by bringing up Scorpan, this made Tirek goes into a fury of rage to the point that he creates a giant orb that nearly kills Duck and destroyes the entire School of Friendship until the young six stepped in.
- After a brief encounter with the Student Six who were supercharged by the power of Laurana, he tricked everyone into thinking he had given up when in truth he was setting up for his next plan.
The Light of Harmonys Hope[]
- He opens a portal to free the Pony of Shadows.
- When Queen Chrysalis tried to feed on his love, it failed, and she noted how he had no love in his heart. Tirek implies to her that he doesn't have a heart.
- He gave Sombra the power of an alicorn and told him to destroy the Tree of Harmony.
- He took advantage of King Sombra's rebelliousness by poisoning The Tree of Harmony with a special poison of his own making, which made its destruction all the easier.
- He manipulated "Grogar" into making him the face of his team while deceiving the villains into following him against the fake Father of Monsters.
- After coercing Chrysalis, Cozy Glow, King Sombra, Storm King, and Erebus/the Pony of Shadows into his aide, he would then spend the rest of the season gathering what he needed to recreate the Rainbow of Darkness.
- He also haves Chrysalis, Cozy Glow, King Sombra, Storm King, and Erebus try to create Tiracian Soldiers.
- He uses dark magic to create many different demons to serve him such as Apophis, The Great Serpent of Evil, Bahamut, Dismay, and Nocturnus.
- Knowing how powerful Grogar is and hating how much he punishes him and his comrades for arguing and/or failing him, they secretly decided to use the Bewitching Bell in their scheme behind his back to overthrow him.
- With Professor N. Shroud and Oberon's aid, he created the Tiracians from the harvested DNA and essence of other creatures before forcing a Pinkie Clone to reveal the location of the Mirror Pool so he could build his army, which was followed by him mercilessly killing said clone.
- He works under the nose of Not-Grogar to supplant him, and claim his power as his own.
- He absorbs the Tiracians into himself to transform them into creatures of pure darkness so he can summon as many as he desires to send into battle.
- He turns Flash into a new host for Nightmare Moon.
- He would then lead Dusk Shine and his friends into a trap, and try to break his spirit by revealing that he was the new Nightmare Moon.
- He even attempted to sacrifice infant dragons who were ready to hatch to revive the King of the Balrogs.
- When that only half succeeded, he still managed to bring him back by absorbing the essences of every Tiracian, killing them, and using their own lifeforce to power the demon.
- Through Grothmog, he then killed Emerald Wonder before being forced to retreat.
- He sent Grothmog back to The Midnight Mountain to help him regain power.
- During the summer sun celebration, he tormented Dusk Shine with the threat of Equestria's destruction, and the death of his friends and family should he attempt to stop him.
- He brought back the real Grogar, only to enslave the Baphomet to his will.
- He creates a vessel for the Djinn to inhabit, and returns to the mortal plane, but later Tirek will use his own Bewitching Bell to absorb the Emperor of Darkness.
- When Discord was then exposed, he set Grogar loose to torture and petrify the draconequus as punishment for trying to control the villains, and for impersonating the Father of Monsters.
- He destroyes Canterlot and then reshape it into Midnight Castle.
- He begins corrupting the land of Equestria with The Darkness and tries to corrupt the whole world. He lies about chaos magic being unusable.
- He used Discord's chaos magic to not only empower himself further, but also formed a warship known as "The Darksyde" which he used to lay waste to ponyville, before setting his forces loose on Dusk's castle and School, and destroying them both.
- Just as he did his father, and mother, he also killed Scorpan in a final clash upon becoming Tirathos.
- Tirek absorbed Grogar into himself as pure, magical energy, and in the process transform into a godly demon that is a hybrid of himself, and the devilish Grogar, with the centaur as the basis.
- He double-crosses the other villains via stealing their magic with the bell, then uses all of the stolen magic on himself to become all-powerful and wield The Rainbow of Darkness at the height of its power from all of the negative energy the ponies had unwittingly fed it during their division.
Trivia[]
- He is so far the only version of Tirek/Tirac to be Pure Evil.
