Lord Embryo, also simply known as Embryo, is one of the two main antagonists (alongside Julio Asuka Misurugi) of the CROSS ANGE Rondo of Angel and Dragon anime series and the main antagonist of the mecha crossover-game Super Robot Wars V. He's a former scientist-turned the oppressive and treacherous creator of the World of Mana.

He was voiced by Toshihiko Seki in the Japanese dub and Chris Patton in English. The former has also voiced Muzan Kibutsuji.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?

• He kidnapped Aura and used her life force to give Mana to the new humans.
• He killed many ancient humans including Tusk's parents.
• He doesn’t care/love anything or anyone, except himself.
• In the past, he manipulated Jill and abused her before leaving her.
• He is responsible for the discrimination of the humans against Norma.
• He killed Ange's brother Julio, although he deserved it.
• Though he does resurrect Chris and the children that were killed during Julio's attack and tell Salia that he needs her power, it is only so that he could manipulate them and make them join him.
• He tortured Riza and forced her to give him information about the Dragon attack. This will lead to the death of many dragons. He then leaves Riza to Sylvia who will torture her.
• He attempted to destroy Mana's world and Dragon's world by merging the two to create a new one.
• When Ersha asks him to resurrect the children again, Embryo refuses, claiming they don't have a place in his new world. This will lead Ersha to rejoin Ange's group.
• He tries many times to kill Tusk because he was too close to Ange.
• When he is cornered by the Dragons, Embryo pirates his allies Ragna-Mail and forces them to fight the dragon while he leaves. This will lead to the death of the two of them.
• After capturing Ange, when she still refuses to be his wife, he tries to rape her.
• He attempts to kill Ange when it's clear that she would not join him.
• Embryo punishes and spanks Salia for letting Ange escape.

Trivia

• He and Julio Asuka Misurugi are the only two Pure Evils in the Cross Ange series.
