Long (ロン Ron), also known as the Infinite Dragon was the mysterious immortal being and the overarching antagonist of Juken Sentai Gekiranger who engineered the events of the series behind the scenes until he revealed himself. He is the one secretly responsible for the foundation of the Rinjuken Akugata as it was inspired by his Genjuken style and seeks to bring about destruction for no reason other than his own entertainment.
He is played by Naoki Kawano.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Wanted to create a destroyer to alleviate his boredom.
- He first started with Maku, manipulating him into betraying the other Juken masters, which results in Bruce E's murder before Maku was sealed off.
- Uncaring about the defeat, he murders Rio's entire family so he could try it again with him this time. He hoped that the event will cause Rio to desire to become stronger so as to prevent it from happening
- Seemingly killed Jan's parents and village (also targeting him as well until Jan was believed to have drowned himself). While Jan's mother's death was real and permanent, his father, Dan returns later in the series as one of Long's henchmen Suugu, created using Dan's brainwashed soul.
- Sets up the downfall of the revived Maku while he and his forces kill off Rageku soon after Maku's permanent death, no longer wanting to use them.
- Set up Gou Fukami's werewolf transformation
- Almost sets up Rio's full corruption into the destroyer and tries to use Mele as a hostage to force it once his deception is revealed before trying to kill both once it failed.
- While he founded the Genjuken, he shows how little he cares for them when he reabsorbs Sanyo, who was meant only to be the extension of his immorality, despite Sanyo having a different (and more humorous) personality
- Decides to destroy the world all by himself, resulting in Rio attempting to sacrifice his life and the Gekirangers had to seal him because he can't die.
- He also killed Mele at the time.
- In the Gekirangers team up with the Go-Ongers, he uses the body of Gaiark's Nunchuck Banki to try and take revenge on his enemies.
Trivia[]
- Neither of his Power Rangers counterparts have the same qualifications as Long of Pure Evil:
- Dai Shi's goal is less evil, wanting animals to rule the world over humans and he showed less depravity.
- General Scorch is just a general who is genuinely loyal to Dai Shi and has only committed standard villainy.
