Liu Shen Tong, or simply Mr. Tong, is a supporting antagonist in the 2012 video game Sleeping Dogs.

He is a legendary and feared assassin, interrogations expert and enforcer within the Sun On Yee Triad. He is employed by the Sun On Yee red pole Big Smile Lee as his head enforcer because of his violent and brutal acts against anyone he is paid to target. Tong's work and methods strike fear into even the most hardened Sun On Yee enforcers. He is known to brutally torture and mutilate his victims for days before finally burying them alive.

He was voiced by Ron Yuan, who also voiced Dogeyes Lin in the same game.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?

• In the past, he spent almost 48 hours torturing Charles Ho to death for being an undercover cop within the Sun On Yee. According to the police report, Officer Ho was buried alive and died of asphyxiation after receiving four distinct burn patches, electric burns on both foot soles, 27 cuts of varying depths and lengths, his left eye removed non-surgically and all right hand fingers broken.
• He meticulously tortures and kills Jackie, burying him alive and then gutting him like a fish right after he gets rescued by his childhood best friend Wei, even hanging Jackie's disemboweled corpse on a pipe in an alley for Wei to find.
• He kidnaps and tortures Wei both physically and psychologically, intending to use Wei as fodder to break his torture record of 48 hours, while also mocking how Jackie died refusing to believe Wei was an undercover cop.
  • Even worse, by getting rid of Wei, Tong is knowingly assisting in Big Smile Lee's pursuit of power by taking over the Sun On Yee.
• Overall, despite his rapsheet mainly only consisting of two confirmed kills and one more attempted, Tong is widely regarded in-universe as the single most feared Sun On Yee member because of the sheer prolonged brutality and cruelty he inflicts upon anyone unfortunate enough to cross him, making him a clear case of quality over quantity while also going far, far beyond "just following orders" from Big Smile Lee. Furthermore, police reports state that Tong has repeatedly demonstrated a complete and total lack of restraint when it comes to physical violence towards Lee's opponents, indicating he's a serial torture-killer.
