“ | We the Reconstructive Experiment Empire Mess have experimented on life forms from many planets... | „ |
~ Lah Deus's first words when looking upon Earth. |
Great Emperor Lah Deus was the leader of the Reconstructive Experiment Empire Mess who sought to become the ultimate lifeform in the universe. He was the main antagonist of Choushinsei Flashman. He was also the Flashmen's archenemy and eventually their most powerful and dangerous enemy. Although appearing to be a massive alien overlord, he is in actuality a mass of genetics brought to life desiring to gain as much genetic materials as possible in order to become the ultimate lifeform of the universe. He was also the master and boss of his minions such as his generals Great Doctor Lie Kopflen and his other generals.
He was voiced by the late Unshō Ishizuka. He was portrayed by suit actor Hideaki Kusaka (日下秀昭, Kusaka Hideaki).
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- He created and organized his evil empire the Reconstructive Experiment Empire Mess in order to take over and rule the universe and for this goal he dreamed to collect the DNA of the most powerful creatures of the universe in order to use their DNA and become the ultimate lifeform and god who ruled the universe.
- He recruited and kidnapped several Great Doctors to serve him and make experiments in order to enhance his abilities.
- He kidnapped young Lie Köpflen on Earth when Köpflen was just an infant and made him his second-in-command and Great Doctor, who served him and helped him with his plans of taking over the universe and collecting the DNA of the powerful aliens and creatures.
- Also, while Köpflen became himself a psychopathic, tyrannical and ruthless individual, who helped Lah Deus in his ruthless quest of conquering the universe, but, however, his tragedy still stands out and is legal, because if Lah Deus wouldn't kidnap Köpflen, then he would never become the evil insane scientist and would never develop a god complex and desire to rule the universe.
- He recruited and employed the alien hunters, led by Sir Cowler, to kidnap people to be experimented on by Mess. And Flashman were among these people, making the protagonists be taken away from their homeworld and nearly taken to Lah Deus and his servants to experiment. Also, while Flash people rescued Flashman and raised them on the Flash planet, but this action still makes Lah Deus heinous, because he took the heroes away from the Earth, their home planet and forced them to live, not seeing their homeworld and feel painfully by desiring to go to Earth and see it.
- He and his evil empire conquered and terrorized multiple planets across the universe, wiping out their population, collecting the DNA of the creatures and transforming the planets into the lifeless wastelands.
- He and his army invaded the Earth and plotted to do the same thing to the Human World, whuch he previously did on the multiple other planets. Also, what makes Lah Deus truly heinous is the fact the Earth bevame the Flashman's new homewoorld after their travel from the planet Flash, and the evil tyrant sought to destroy this planet too, furtherly seeking to destroy the Flashman's hopes of finding their true parents.
- He and his minions invaded, terrorized and sought to destroy Tokyo multiple times, by sending monsters to fight the Flashman, and frequently used the cheating and deception tactics.
- When Baraki returned, turned against him and helped the Flashman defeat his monsters Zukonda and Jiraika, Lah Deus had his former minion captured and violently tortured, only sparing Baraki because he tricked the Mess by pretending to help them defeat the Flashman.
- He had Baraki killed by Cowler, which was a very painful and torturous moment for the Flashman, and this furtherly traumatized the heroes, because they had already loved Baraki and accepted him as their friend and ally.
- He betrayed Cowler, his own minion, who loyally served him and had most of the Alien Hunters betrayed and fused into a single monster against their will, while simultaneously giving them a death of personality. This action furtherly demonstrates Lah Deus's bad boss moments and shows his treacherous and traitorous nature, because he betrayed Cowler and was ungrateful to the alien mercenary, who served him for a long time and was genuinely and truly faithful to him.
- While he was betrayed and killed by Keflen and his corpse was used by Keflen to create Deusura and other Deus Beast Warriors, but Lah Deus's death wasn't played for sympathy and is only treated as deserved and expected karma for his awful and ruthless treatment of his subordinates and his kidnapping of Keflen when the evil scientist was just a child.
- He kidnapped all of the Flashman, trapped them in his dimension and tried to kill the heroes, while also sadistically laughing and gloating of their suffering.
