“ | My name is Kul Teska. And what I want, you don't have. But I'll settle on seeing the looks on your faces as your precious Clones die. | „ |
~ Kul Teska to Obi-Wan Kenobi. |
Kul Teska is the main antagonist of the non-canon 2009 video game Star Wars: The Clone Wars – Republic Heroes.
He is a Skakoan mercenary who was a brilliant scientist at the Techno Union before his resignation after an accident that heavily damaged his pressure suit. He sought to destroy all life within the Naboo system by causing its star to collapse via his weapon, the Gravitic Polarization Beam.
He was voiced by Troy Baker, who also voiced Shinnok in Mortal Kombat, Gul'dan in World of Warcraft, Van Kleiss in Generator Rex, the Joker in the Arkhamverse and in the Tomorrowverse, and Simon Krieger in Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- He spearheads the development of a weapon called the Gravitic Polarization Beam, which is capable of destroying stars by causing them to collapse. Teska seeks to obliterate all life within the Naboo system by collapsing its star using the Beam.
- He orders his droid army to invade the Juma 9 space station to use its radar to track the stolen Gravitic Core, killing numerous clone troopers in the process while rigging it with explosives.
- After Plo Koon and Obi-Wan Kenobi confront Teska, he threatens to blow up the space station should the two fail to lower their lightsabers. However, after they comply, Teska states they are "no fun" and triggers the incendiaries aboard the station anyway.
- When Koon and Kenobi chase him into a dead end, he reveals he had also stocked the escape pods with bombs and threatens to detonate them, which would kill many more clone troopers.
- After ambushing Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano, he traps them in an energy bubble, and after being spotted by two clones, he forces the energy field to close in on the two, threatening to crush them to death. He then gives the clones the option of either chasing him or saving their allies.
- After capturing Padmé Amidala, he threatens to slay Amidala should Skywalker and Tano fail to surrender. After Skywalker surrenders, he belittles him for his apparent act of cowardice, and when he notices Tano attempting to free Amidala, he attempts to kill Tano with his quad cannon.
- Even before getting crushed by his own beam, Teska remains defiant and gloats that the Naboo system is doomed.
- Although Teska does follow Dooku's order to attempt to destroy the Naboo system, Teska is purely out for himself and shows no genuine sign of loyalty or honor. He does not truly feel beholden to the Separatists and shows extremely sadistic delight in his actions. He lacks any redeeming qualities and is an utter Hate Sink.
Trivia[]
- Both he and Wat Tambor are the only two Skakoans in the Separatists to be Pure Evil.
- The difference is that Teska is the only Pure Evil Skakoan to originate from the Legends/Expanded Universe continuity.
