| ~ Krang One mocking Leonardo before their final duel. |
Krang One is the overarching antagonist of Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the main antagonist of Nickelodeon’s 38th full-length animated feature film Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie.
He is the leader of the Krang, a race of alien conquerors, who seeks to decimate, assimilate and remake the entire universe as he sees fit and the one responsible for the creation of the demonic set of armor: Shredder. Krang is the Turtles' most powerful and dangerous foe they have ever faced following the Shredder's defeat and Leonardo's archenemy.
He was voiced by Jim Pirri.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- He is a narcissistic social darwinist, whose claims of bringing order to the universe is obviously hollow for him to enforce his twisted version of order in which the strong devour the weak and he is the strongest of them all for being devoid of any sort of benevolent virtue or concern for others, which is what all he deems as weaknesses that he rejects.
- He is part of the Krang race, whom have led out a conquest of planets across the universe, invading and decimating and assimilating them while consuming the entire population as a result.
- Ultimately, his end goal is to attack every single planet in the universe so he can consume all of existence and remake it in his image.
- In one future of Earth, he succeeds in conquering the entire planet, in which all survivors were forced to hide in caves until he has them found and had them exterminated. In one instance, the krang even killed Future Leonardo right in front of Casey Jones.
- Had Attacked Earth in the past before being stopped by four mystical warriors.
- He seals away the Turtles' powers during their first fight with him.
- He brainwashes Raphael by inserting his tentacles through his eyes to search his mind and has him transformed into a krang zombie and then forces him to fight his brothers all for his sheer amusement.
- As gratitude for freeing him, he orders his brother to horrifically transform the Foot Clan into nightmarish abominations to serve him, making them all like krang zombies in the process.
- The worst part is that it was needless as the Foot told him that they would willingly serve him and help him in his plans.
- He has the many of people inside the Empire State Building assimilated to make it the site to open the portal for the Technodrome.
- He barely care that his own species was nearly extinct; all but he and his siblings had died in the Prison Dimension. He dismissed them as weaklings unworthy of serving him and his new empire.
- Sends the Technodrome onto Earth to cause another apocalypse to take over all of Earth and attempting to consume it, resulting in untold destruction all across New York City which makes it his first target.
- Although he claims he is saving Earth from weakness, even going as far as to say that he is a gift to the planet, it is an obvious lie and is using it as a cheap excuse to prove he is the strongest being in the universe and to dominate all life.
- He captures Leonardo, Donatello and Michelangelo and attempts to assimilate them.
- When sealed back into the prison, he gives a brutal beatdown to Leonardo, claiming any redeeming quality and virtue is ultimate weakness and he is all above that.
- He attempted to prevent Leo from escaping the Prison Dimension when Mikey opened a portal with his mystic powers out of spite before trying to escape through said portal himself to restart his conquest.
- Unlike most of the other villains in the series, who are usually played for laughs with the only exception being Shredder, and most versions of Krang (even the ones approved as Pure Evil have a slimmer of this to varying degrees), he has no comedic moments and is played dead seriously, that the very film begins with humanity on the brink of extinction thanks to him that showcases its darker and edgier tone in comparison to the series.
Trivia[]
- Krang One is, alongside the Archie Comics version, the 2012 version and the 2016 film version, one of the four versions of Krang to be Pure Evil. Out of the four, he is the last one to appear.
- He and Shredder including his siblings Krang two and Krang three are the only four villains in Rise of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to be Pure Evil.
