Kortifex is the main antagonist of Call of Duty: Vanguard's Zombies mode. He is a former Dark Aether Lord working with Die Wahrheit's Wolfram Von List and their members, as he gave them an army of the undead to win World War II.

Kortifex was voiced by Jason Marnocha who also voiced Megatron and Galvatron in Transformers: War for Cybertron.

• Kortifex has no regard for human life, treating them as pawns to achieve his goals.
• He seeks complete global domination.
• He corrupts and manipulates mortal beings, turning them into his own dark agents through deception.
• Kortifex uses dark magic.

• He empowered Wolfram Von List, a Nazi Officer, in helping him win the second world war and resurrect the Nazi regime.
• Kortifex thrives on human suffering and leaving them with fear.
