~ Knull introducing himself to Eddie Brock. |
“ | You have a piece of me inside of you, host. You think this makes you stronger. Gives you a chance. That I cannot control you. But I do not have to control you to rob you of what I want. You are nothing. Your Symbiote is mine! I will be free! | „ |
~ Knull fighting Venom. |
“ | You... my Hive. My... rebellious children... you are special. Something new. They made you to destroy me. But... as you can see... that will not come to pass. Your champions have fallen. This planet is mine. And you... you have failed. But you need not die here like the rest. You are special to me. You are... in many ways... my son. I will give you the darkness. Knull is one of the main antagonists of the Marvel Universe. He is one of the main antagonists of the Venom series, serving as the overarching antagonist of Absolute Carnage, the overarching antagonist of Thor: God of Thunder and the titular main antagonist of King in Black.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Chosen by the Celestials to help maintain the universe as the King in Black, he rejected this duty and sought to destroy it instead.
- Decapitated one of the Celestials with All-Black the Necrosword.
- Despising the light, he waged war with the Celestials and consumed entire worlds.
- Created the symbiotes and the Exolon to carry out a genocide on the Celestials, corrupt their creations among other entities of living darkness and causing billions to trillions of deaths in his reign of terror, making him the impetus behind all of the Marvel Universe's symbiote atrocities.
- The few gods he did spare were bonded to symbiotes and enslaved.
- He is the cause of both Gorr the God Butcher's rise to power and the events of the Absolute Carnage storyline.
- Terrorized Earth during the early medieval period, attacking the Danes and fighting Thor before being sealed away.
- When betrayed and sealed off by his own creations, he awakens and attempts to torture Eddie Brock's symbiote to relieve it of any honor and nobility, intent on freeing himself and resuming his mission of returning the universe to the void by starting by consuming everyone and everything on Earth.
- After being sealed at the core of Klyntar, Knull is still able to exert influence over some symbiotes, attempting to corrupt Venom and bend it to his will and successfully corrupting the Scorn and Hybrid symbiotes.
- After being freed by Carnage, he conquers and destroys several planets, either personally or using symbiote-dragons, and kills several celestials out of petty vengeance before reanimating them with symbiotes.
- Infects most of Earth's heroes and dozens of civilians with symbiotes, sending his horde to slaughter, devour, and infect the survivors.
- He temporarily kills Eddie Brock out of spite.
- Tries to rewrite history to prematurely free himself.
- Tortures both Thor and the teenaged Dylan Brock when they try to stop him.
- His presence fills symbiotes with bloodlust, and he tries to purge the Venom symbiote of the compassion it had acquired during its time on Earth.
- In Web of Venom: The Good Son, he gets revenge on Eddie for foiling his plans by corrupting his half-symbiote son Dylan.
- He tries to kill Eddie again once for all.
- Even when Eddie is resurrected by the Enigma Force and overpowers him, Knull swears that darkness never dies and attempts to take over Dylan's body before being destroyed.
Trivia[]
- His live action counterpart from the 2024 film Venom: The Last Dance, also qualifies as Pure Evil.
