Kintōru-no-Hakai, simply known as Kintoru and commonly known by her nickname Sama, is one of the four main antagonists of the 2021 Roblox horror game The Mimic, serving as the main antagonist of Control's Book.
She is the Beast of Control and a creation of a bored eldritch God who wanted to have puppets/tools. She, alongside Enzukai, Netamo and Yuma, became one of the Four Beasts that rampaged across Earth before being sealed away by Kusonoki Masashige.
What Makes Her Pure Evil?[]
- Kintoru, alongside her close allies Enzukai, Netamo, and Yuma, was one of the Four Beasts that rampaged across the world for ten days, with them being so powerful that the warrior Kusonoki Masashige had to go to the Evil God (who created the Four Beasts himself) to ask for power to seal them.
- She was the one who defeated Kusonoki, took his daughter, Hirosa Masashige hostage, causing him to seal her away in fury. This led to Kintoru cursing him as a result, turning him into a guardian of her seal for all eternity.
- She made 4 Fleshbags from the bodies of people she killed, making them monsters that guard the 4 scrolls
- She cursed Yasu Masashige's bloodline, turning all of them into her puppets. Amongst the people she cursed included:
- A young girl named Hiachi, who she tricked into taking off her seal, promising to take her wherever she wants to go. When she did so, Kintoru curses her and turns her into a puppet.
- Futaba, Hiachi's mother, who she deceived and gave her the cruel nickname "Futaomote" likely a mockery of Futaba's disorder.
- Kaito, Mihari and Biwaki, a family whom she cursed and turned into puppets in 1892.
- Hirosa, whom she held hostage and used to manipulate Kusonoki.
- Kuriko, who she cursed 3 years after cursing Hana/Biwaki.
- Shizu, who she gave a butterfly spirit to, presumably telling her to squeeze it in her palm and rub it on both of her hands. Eventually, Shizu would become a stone puppet.
- Megumi, a servant of the imperial palace who she cursed in 1890.
- Keiko and Daku, who are Yasu's parents. She met the two at a parent-teacher conference, then slowly cursed them afterwards. To make things worse, Daku wasn't even part of the bloodline, as he was part of the family by marriage, meaning she cursed him out of nothing but sadism.
- Kazeko and Hanzu, who she cursed in 1671
- She killed Cecil, Kayla, Jason, William, Leon, and Daniel, and turned their souls into butterfly spirits. While this was off-screen, it's one of the main driving forces of Control's Book, as Yasu went back to his old school to find them. Along with that, Kintoru outright told Yasu that the butterfly spirits that he was sacrificing were indeed his friends.
- She made numerous attempts to turn Yasu into a puppet.
- After Yasu defeated her, she made one last attempt to turn him into a pawn by making an empty promise to give him a normal life should he save his parents, which, in reality, would've cursed him too. Yasu, however, kills her mid-sentence, now fed up with her lies.
- When she is shown to be strung up to a Sakura tree in Jealousy: Chapter III, she attempted to get Isamu Uchiumi to free her via manipulation, only for this to backfire when Isamu decides that he shouldn't.
- It's confirmed by lore writers that after being cursed by Kintoru for twenty years, they will automatically go to the afterlife after being freed, meaning that they are dead. Furthermore, this doesn't apply to Yasu's friends as they were sacrificed and forever remain in limbo, nor does it apply to Keiko and Daku as they were cursed for two to three years.
- Although she was created by the Evil God alongside the other Beasts, nothing implied that she is made of evil. Furthermore, she has been shown to have a deceptive and sadistic personality, and even acted on her own accord throughout the game and its lore.
- While her final fate, reduced to a caterpillar tied to a tree in hell, is rather horrific, with sad music accompanying it, Isamu grants her no sympathy and remarked that he shouldn't help her. Furthermore, her whole gimmick is manipulating people, with her speaking of humans and puppets before she's encountered, thus implying she's failed to learn her lesson and is still trying to manipulate others for her own ends.
Trivia[]
