KeyFace is the main antagonist of the 2018 film Insidious: The Last Key, the fourth installment in the Insidious film series. He was portrayed by Javier Botet.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?

• Though a demon, he has some moral agency, personality and enjoys all of the actions he committed.
• Being the warden of the Further, he had tortured millions and millions of souls for his own amusement.
• Feeds off the anger and hatred of humans to keep himself alive.
• Possessed Elisa Rainier, making her kill her own mother.
• Possessed Elisa's father, driving him mad.
• While possessing Mr. Rainier, he made him kidnap and kill many nurses, stacking their bodies in a hidden shaft while KeyFace keeps and tortures the souls of the nurses.
• Made Mr. Rainier kidnap and kill many nurses multiple times.
• Fed off the anger of Mr. Rainier to keep itself alive, while it can be justified that it needs to do so in order to survive. KeyFace enjoys tormenting it's victims, as seen when he tortures the souls of many inhabitants in the Further.
• Does not care for his fellow demons, only seeing them as allies but genuinely does not care for them.
• Haunted Melissa, Elisa's niece.
• Tortured Melissa by silencing her screams by slitting her throat with his key fingers, before moving on to stab the key in her stomach, torturing her and making her soul go the the Further, where he tortured her more there.
• Made Elisa feel bitter hatred for her father, convincing her to beat up her father so that he can feed off her anger.
• Attacked Melissa from behind, scaring her and causing her body in the physical world to convulse in pain.
• While he was ultimately killed by Elise Rainier and exploded into keys, it is a fitting and deservable end for KeyFace due to all of the actions he has done.

Trivia

• KeyFace is one of the three Insidious villains, alongside The Woman in White and The Man Who Can't Breathe, to be Pure Evil.
