Karness Muur, or simply known as Muur, is a major antagonist in the Star Wars Legends continuity. He was one of the very first Sith Lords and the creator of the Rakghoul plague, which he uses in his attempt to dominate the galaxy.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Though he was once a Jedi, greed and lust for power drove him to the Dark Side, making him become a Dark Jedi.
- Helped Ajunta Pall kill the Sith king of Korriban, so that the Sith species can serve them.
- Helped the Dark Jedi and Sith species work together, and, under the leadership of Ajunta Pall, created an offshoot of the Jedi Order, called the "Sith Order", named after the Sith species, with Muur serving as one of the high ranking Sith Lords.
- Used Dark Side alchemy to twist and morph sapient and non sapient beings into abominations, and created monsters such as leviathans.
- Created the Rakghoul plague, a plague that is seriously contagious and painfully transforms individuals into Rakghouls, by making them have opaque eyes, nausea, fever, pale skin, and finally, eyes bleeding out as the victim feels the whole process, with their minds crushed until they fully transform into Rakghouls, making them mindless monsters.
- Attempted to attack the Republic, but was stopped an physically killed by his nemesis, Remulus Dreypa, however, he contained his spirit within his talisman, able to live on.
- Had his talisman latch onto many individuals long after his physical death, the process for the host being extremally tormenting as Muur acts like a pushing voice in their heads, and even possessing them for his own needs once in a while, and having people around the host turn into Rakghouls.
- After being buried underneath Taris for some time, the presence of Muur's spirit in the talisman made people go mad and turn into Rakghouls for centuries.
- When Muur's talisman was found by Mandalorians years later, Muur's spirit had their leader Pulsipher go mad for a moment, making him go through agonizing pain and making him kill one of his Mandalorians. That Mandalorian later transformed into a Rakghoul.
- An apocalypse of Rakghouls began to happen as Pulsipher wore the talisman, making Mandalorians turn into Rakghouls and cannibalizing each other.
- As Muur's spirit sensed the power in Jedi Zayne Carrick, he attempted to make the talisman latch from Pulsipher to Carrick, and, when Pulsipher tried to prevent this from happening, Muur had his Rakghouls rip Pulsipher to death, before attempting to posses Zayne.
- Though Jedi Celeste Morne defended Zayne and Muur ended up on Morne instead, he didn't care, as he also sensed power in her too, and made her his new host.
- Made Celeste Morne go mad and evil, as she, under his control, had the Rakghoul army attack and spread.
- Made Celeste Morne want to be free from her pain, as Muur's control over her was agonizing, and so she went into a stasis pod and was kept in suspended animation for four thousand years.
- Once reawakened by Darth Vader thousands of years later, he attempted to have Vader kill Morne so that he could posses Vader, as he could sense great power in Vader.
- Goaded and mocked Morne, telling her that she will die when fighting Vader, and tried to convince her to give up, so that he could posses Vader.
- In a vision seen by Morne, had Vader killed Morne, Muur would have possessed Vader, kill Darth Sidious, and spread the Rakghoul plague throughout the galaxy.
- Had the Imperial scientist Dr. Petturi to transform into a Rakghoul.
- A few decades later, an Imperial shuttle landed on the planet Morne and Muur were stranded on, and Muur, possessing Morne, smiled sadistically as he morphed Stormtrooper into Rakghouls.
- As the Rebel Alliance landed on the planet, Muur had his Rakghoul army infect many of the Rebel soldiers.
- Turned one of Leia Organa's faithful allies into a Rakghoul.
- attempted to possess Luke Skywalker, and through Skywalker, planned to spread chaos to the entire galaxy through Rakghouls.
- Possessed Leia instead, but didn't care, as he found her useful as she had similar powers to Luke.
- Screamed in anger that he wouldn't possess anyone new when Morne grabbed the talisman and she wore it again, as she didn't want anyone else to be tormented by Muur like she was.
- Spread the Rakghoul plague to many people for over a hundred years, tormenting Celeste Morne mentally.
- Muur, possessing Morne, had an entire ship infected into Rakghouls.
- Had the Sith Lord Darth Reave transformed into a Rakghoul, and Reave attacked Darth Krayt, and was beheaded and killed.
- Captured Cade Skywalker, and made a deal with Darth Krayt that he will heal Krayt if he brings Cade Skywalker.
- Betrayed Krayt and morphed many of his One Sith followers into Rakghouls.
- After Morne was finally killed, Muur's spirit made the talisman latch onto Cade Skywalker, and proclaimed his victory and attempted to make the Rakghouls cause chaos to the entire galaxy through Cade. Though Cade used the Force to crush and disintegrate the talisman, which made Muur's spirit go through a well deserved end.
- After his spiritual death, his teaching and actions caused Darth Krayt to resurrect and cause more chaos to the galaxy.
