“ | Sorry, chili-con-Carnage -- there's no way I'm going to let you kill him [Batman]. Or slice and dice your way through Gotham. It's my town -- and my Batman! Mine alone to play with -- for the sheer, intoxicating fun of it! Of course, if you insist on going through with this -- I'll have no recourse but to pop the weasel -- and unleash the virus -- here and now! I'd rather see all of Gotham dead... my charming self included... than see you win. | „ |
~ Joker attempting to unleash a plague on Gotham to spite Carnage for threatening Batman. |
The Joker is one of the two main antagonists (alongside Carnage) of the 1995 crossover comic book Spider-Man and Batman: Disordered Minds.
Apart from a slight change in canon, this version of the character is just as evil as his New-Earth counterpart. He is the archenemy of Batman and the second arch-nemesis of Peter Parker.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Before becoming the Joker, he was the burglar who infamously killed Spider-Man's elderly uncle, Ben Parker, while his wife May watched.
- He tries to infect all of Gotham with rabid bats and is only stopped by Batman.
- He tries to send hundreds of poisoned "gifts" to children on Christmas, only to later open one right away in an attempt to kill all of Gotham out of simple spite towards Carnage, denying him victory in his goal to kill Batman on live TV.
- When defeated, he tries to goad Spider-Man into killing him to break his moral code.
- Although he considers Carnage's sadism "utterly distasteful and gross," it isn't out of genuine standards, but because the Joker simply prefers killing with more pizzazz.
