~ Joker's last words as his heart is ripped out of his chest by Superman. |
The Joker is the overarching antagonist of the Injustice animated film.
Wanting to plunge the world into chaos and torment Batman, the Joker sought to drive Superman insane by orchestrating the death of his pregnant wife, Lois Lane, and the destruction of Metropolis. These actions not only drove Superman insane but also drove him to murder the Joker in retribution, leading him to become a tyrannical dictator enforcing peace through fear and brutality, killing anyone who opposed him.
He was voiced by Kevin Pollak.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Kills the Scarecrow while stealing his fear gas, combining it with Kryptonite to affect Superman.
- He sets up a trap that incapacitates and kills the Flash by sawing off his head.
- Murders Jimmy Olsen, by shooting him directly in the eye, kidnaps Lois Lane and implants a dead man's switch into her heart before manipulating Superman into killing her and their unborn son.
- He sets off a nuclear warhead in Metropolis, which was linked to Lois' heartbeat; thus, her death causes it to detonate in Metropolis and kill millions of innocent people. This event led to many Justice League members falling to the dark side or some defecting from the team due to the chaos being too much to handle.
- When the grief-stricken Superman confronted him, the Joker taunted the Man of Steel for his misery, thus successfully forcing him to kill the former in one last laugh. Not to mention that this is what turned Superman into the monster he is today.
- His whole reason for driving Superman to villainy and bombing Metropolis stemmed from his inability to break Batman, which is incredibly unjustified and petty.
- Although he is never seen abusing Harley Quinn like most takes on the character, this isn't enough to say that he actually cares for her.
- He's indirectly responsible for Nightwing's death, as Damian Wayne, in a fit of rage for him and Batman not murdering their enemies like Superman did to the Joker, threw his baton at his head, killing him instantly. This, in turn, also results in Bruce harshly disowning Damian as his son.
- While his death was brutal, it doesn't make him a scapegoat because he got what he deserved for everything he did, not to mention that this was exactly what the Joker wanted to happen, just to prove that Superman wasn't truly incorruptible.
- He lacks the only redeeming quality of his videogame counterpart; in tie-in comics, the latter was revealed to have standards against racial discrimination, nazism, and bigotry.
