Here! You're a toilet!
~ John Paul's most famous quote.
Yas!
~ John Paul's catchphrase.

John Paul is a villain created by Limmy, who appears as in the web podcast series Limmy's World of Glasgow, as well its TV successor Limmy's Show, acting as the titular protagonist in the stories/sketches John Paul.

He is a sadistic ned in his late teen years who spends his days annoying, pestering and tormenting people, occasionally even in brutal and torturous manners.

He was created, portrayed and voiced by Brian "Limmy" Limond himself.

Characteristics[]

Personality[]

John Paul is a sadistic, spiteful, temperamental and rude young man who takes great pride in annoying and tormenting anyone who crosses his path. He is also very impulsive, sometimes just committing acts of violence because of an uncontrollable urge.

He is also completely full of himself and simply acts on hedonistic pleasures, caring very little about the consequences of his actions. In spite of this he does have a few people he gets along with such as his friend Craig.

Appearance[]

John Paul is never actually seen in motion in either form of media due to Limmy's World of Glasgow being a series of podcasts while in Limmy's Show all of his sketches are shot in first person, in spite of that however he is seen at the start of every sketch via video and there is a picture of him in the podcasts.

In the podcasts John Paul has tanned skin, brown eyes, thick eyebrows and wears a white polo shirt with a grey cap. He looks similar to this in the pilot for the TV series although with a balaclava covering his face and is slightly paler, he also wears a black cap in this variant as well as a black jacket.

In the actual show itself John Paul wears a black gas mask, a black jacket, blue jeans, and black trainers. It is unknown if he only wears the gas mask for his internet persona or if he genuinely wears it in person, however since his vision appears to be perfect it is more likely the former.

History[]

This section is too long. Visit here for more details: John Paul's Synopsis on the Villains Wiki.

What Makes him Pure Evil?[]

  • Numerous acts of battery and physical assault, sometimes with near fatal consequences. These include:
    • Suddenly pouncing on a taxi driver while in the moving car.
    • Smashing a man's head against a tiled wall before beating him to the point of making him soil and wet himself.
    • Slamming a young man's face into a glass display cabinet and forcing him to drink his spit before framing him for vandalism.
    • Slapping a traumatised girl on the head, after intimidating and shouting at her for "staring at him".
    • Beating a man to a pulp and forcing him to walk up a railway track for telling his cousin (and by extension in his mind John Paul) to be quiet on a train.
    • Punching a man in the abdomen while wearing knuckle dusters to the point of him throwing up blood (albeit only slightly).
    • Punching an old lady in the face to the point of breaking her nose and her glasses.
  • Extorting an air stewardess into serving him Heineken while he was underage, by threatening to murder her infant daughter if she didn't comply with him. He later deliberately puts on a drunken persona and reveals his age in front of several passengers and staff to get her fired after this.
  • Forcing a young man to jump into a bonfire in exchange for John Paul not stabbing him or his friend (the previously mentioned girl who was "staring" at him), and consequently causing him to be badly burned which he found amusing.
  • Trying to kill a man right in front of his son, while the former was in a car, this caused the man to crash into a tree, possibly resulting in the death of him and his son.
  • Harassing and stalking a woman for weeks until she had to cut off her phone line by constantly screaming "THE BEAST!" through the phone, out of revenge for her not apologising for misdialling him.
  • Chasing a man through a park and continuously stalking and annoying him, before eventually abandoning him laughing after knocking him unconscious with a rock.

Trivia[]

  • John Paul is without a doubt the most evil character created by Limmy, and the only one considered to purely evil.
  • John Paul mainly counts under the category because of Limmy's World of Glasgow since in Limmy's Show, many of his more heinous actions and sadistic nature had to be cut down due to network restrictions on the BBC. In spite of this the two are still the same character and share the same personality.
