William "Billy" Russo, better known as Jigsaw or "The Heavy", is the main antagonist in Volume 11 of The Punisher MAX. A disfigured sociopath lacking any affability and implied to have a history with the Punisher similar to that of his mainstream counterpart, Jigsaw is now the extremely racist and sexist co-leader of a Mexican drug cartel.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Under his supervision, countless kidnapped women and young girls (aged 12-30) from Tierra Rota are worked to death in a meth lab for the cartel. Any worker that succumbs to fatigue or illness has their corpse left behind back at the town, their eyeballs and lungs removed so that nobody can track down said cartel afterwards.
- It's also implied that, judging from the number of crosses in the town cemetery, Jigsaw's drug cartel may be the biggest in all of Mexico.
- He nearly drives the Punisher to suicide out of misplaced guilt, having a little girl's corpse meticulously planted behind a suspicious-looking mirror inside of a warehouse to make it look like the Punisher killed her as a distraction.
- When the Punisher starts closing in on his operation, Jigsaw orders all the workers executed, planning to move to a different lab afterwards.
- He lacks any redeeming qualities, being very racist and sexist as well as just treating everyone around him with equal hostility, even fellow gangsters.
