In carnage, I bloom, like a flower in the dawn.
~ Jhin
One... two... three... four!
~ Jhin as he fires Whisper.

Khada Jhin, simply known as Jhin or The Virtuoso, is a villainous playable character on the multiplayer online battle arena game League of Legends.

Formerly a serial killer, Jhin is a highly skilled assassin that works for the Ionian government to spread terror on his enemies. With a cunning mind and artistic flairs, Jhin remains ever-determined to make each and every death spectacular.

The 129th champion to be released, Jhin was added on February 1, 2016, and one of the most popular ranged champions of the game. Jhin has a completely evil variant from the PROJECT universe, named PROJECT Jhin.

He is voiced by Quinton Flynn in League of Legends and Brian T. Delaney in Legends of Runeterra. In the Japanese version, he is voiced by Shō Hayami.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]

  • Jhin is shown to see the world in a beautiful fantasy whenever he kills, but he is stated to be a psychopath and many of his voicelines show that he is aware that his actions are evil and enjoys what he does.
    • While some of his voicelines imply that he feels some degree of confliction towards his actions, this side of him is not explored at all, as he has moved onto worse crimes and didn't look back on his earlier atrocities while doing so.
  • When working as a stagehand, he killed several people in the province of Zhyun and planned more deadly killing sprees from there.
  • Jhin's existence challenged the philosophy of the people of Ionia, as they were idealists by nature and could not comprehend that a simple man could be so evil. This was also the alleged reason that Master Kusho spared Jhin, as he claimed that Jhin's evil nature would break the Ionians' ways of peace and harmony and even become an evil influence to others.
  • He killed many people in Ionia in the manner of art pieces, causing the Ionians to spread rumors of a "Golden Demon".
  • When the Council of Zhyun dispatched authorities and fighters to catch the Golden Demon, even entire armies, every time Jhin successfully killed all of them.
  • The scenes of Jhin's murders traumatized the witnesses and drove them to insanity, the most notable victim being Usan/Zed, who became disillusioned with the Kinkou Order and became an extremist to get revenge on Jhin after Master Kusho spared his life.
  • After his capture, the Ionians created the play "The Capture of the Golden Demon" to immortalize Jhin's legacy as one of the most evil people on Ionia, and Runeterra as a whole.
  • While he was imprisoned in Tuula, the monks tried to appeal to his love of arts and music, but they could not cure his sadism and love for killing.
  • It was later revealed that Master Kusho was working with Jhin all along, with the latter being sent across Ionia to commit acts of terrorism, and he naturally enjoyed them as brand new performances.
  • Jhin wanted revenge on Zed and the people whom assisted in capturing him, so he murdered many innocent people that Zed knew to chip away at his psyche.
  • He set up a timed bomb in the Blossom Festival to kill the attendees, including Zed's lover at the time. He lured Zed to a designated safe zone, which he arrived at as the bomb went off and killed everyone behind him. This was Jhin's ploy to make Zed believe he couldn't capture him alone, so that he could kill off the allies Zed brought with him as well.
  • He staged a puppet show with puppets of Zed and Shen, to show how he enjoyed toying with them.
  • He went to Piltover to extort the weapon factories so they would ship weapons to Ionia, causing Camille Ferros to track him down.
  • Jhin reveals that his entire plan was to psychologically torment Zed to make him tell Shen why he killed Master Kusho, which would result in their friendship being broken.
  • When Master Kusho himself confronted Zed and revealed his true colors, he said that he set Jhin free to unite Ionia through terror and bloodshed by reminding them of the horrors of war, which Jhin was the only one reliable enough to achieve.
  • While his voicelines towards The Maker implies that he has a positive opinion towards her, it’s not enough to prove that he genuinely respects her as his quotes mainly show respect towards The Maker’s art rather than herself as a person.
  • He manipulated an Ionian priestess (dubbed The Stagehand) traumatised into despair by the Noxian invasion into becoming a suicide bomber for one of his performances.
  • He visited the Temple of Koyehn, where he spent time getting to know the temple’s heir and fellow artist Lukai Hwei. After challenging him to show off his talent, Jhin’s respect for Hwei proved to be superficial, as in the end as he killed Hwei’s masters and blew up the temple.
    • The massacre inflicted severe mental scars on Hwei, making him conflicted towards himself and influencing him to seek Jhin for answers.
