Jackal is a major antagonist in the animated series Gargoyles. He is the twin brother of Hyena, a member of the Pack, and perhaps one of the clan's more outright psychopathic enemies.
He was voiced by Matt Frewer.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- He is a bloodthirsty member of the Pack, a group who were first TV stars turned criminals tricked and lured Lexington, hunted Goliath and his clan just for sport, and robbed banks etc..
- He broke out of prison with the rest of the Pack, and lure the gargoyles once more.
- Before being in the Pack, he and his sister Hyena were Mercenaries.
- He and Hyena almost gets away with stealing a diamond, and try to kill Xanatos for "interfering".
- In "Grief", he steals the power of Anubis, uses it to age Goliath, Elisa, Angela, and Bronx to the point where they can’t move, turns Hyena and Wolf into children, destroys Coyote, and then attempts to kill every living thing on Earth simply because he can; He managed to successfully destroy an entire city before he was stopped.
- Left his teammates behind during the first battle against Goliath.
- In "Guatemala", he and Hyena attempt to kill the Mayan Clan as they were employed by Preston Vogel to do so; he later started a forest fire just to buy him time to destroy Mayan Gargoyle Clan while they try to save it; in the morning he was about to disfigure Goliath's face and rearrange it to his own likeness while he was stone before being stopped by Bronx.
- While he had some comedic moments, they nowhere near detract him from his heinousness and only show how twisted and sadistic he is.
Trivia[]
- He is one of five Gargoyles villains to be Pure Evil, the other four being Gillecomgain, Hakon, King Constantine III and Proteus.
