Jack McGinty is a major antagonist in the 2016 manga series, Moriarty the Patriot, serving as the main antagonist of Part One's final arc, "The Valley of Fellows". A corrupt businessman that is leading a gang of thugs named Scowrers, who have intimidated and wiped out towns to buy land dirt cheap for McGinty's construction projects. he is the archenemy of Billy the Kid, who aims to settle his grudge against McGinty for killing his best friend Garrett and destroying his hometown Fort Sumner.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Through his gang of thugs called the Scowrers, McGinty has them murder and intimidate people as they please on numerous towns to force them to buy their land dirt cheap, lest he will have the entire town and everyone inside of it wipe out. The latter unfortunately was the fate of numerous towns all across America as McGinty uses the blood to build his business empire.
- Invading Fort Sumner, McGinty has Sheriff Garrett beaten to death by his men when he surrendered for the sake of McGinty leaving the town in peace. The damage was so bad, when having his corpse displayed to set an example for the town, even his closest friends couldn't recognize him. When recounting this to Garrett's best friend, Billy the Kid, he mocks him and tells he died like a dog, in misery.
- Even in spite of Garrett's surrender, he has the entire town of Fort Sumner destroyed to buy its land.
- Upon invading Vermissa, when a man stands up to McGinty, he has him murdered in cold-blood before having his men massacre a crowded Church so that he can use the bodies as examples to intimidate the rest of the town.
- Upon realizing the townsfolk of Vermissa seeks to make a stand, McGinty has his men launch a full front assault to destroy the town.
- Forces one of his men to dig up land mines unarmed, willing to risk his life as he knows he has nearly a hundred other people to replace him.
- Has his men equip cannons to open fire at the town and destroy it, killing numerous people, even his own men, something McGinty hardly cares about.
- When confronting Billy the Kid in a duel, he makes 2 underhanded attempts to shoot him during said duel and afterwards when he was spared.
