Indigo, formerly known as Brainiac 8, is one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Maxwelll Lord) of Season 1 of the TV series Supergirl.
She is an alien android cyberterrorist with an association to Brainiac 1, an occasional enemy of Superman. Altough supposedly from Non's side, Indigo seeks to wipe out different species for her own amusement, including Kryptonians and humanity.
She was portrayed by Laura Vandervoort.
What Makes Her Pure Evil?[]
- Attempting to commit genocide on Krypton by shutting down the planet's defence systems.
- Hijacking Kara Zor-El's pod in the Phantom Zone and using it to escape, while also bringing the prison Fort Rozz to Earth with her and therefore allowing the prisoners to escape.
- Tried to blackmail Cat Grant into releasing private information about an infidelity website or she would cause absolute chaos in National City. She kept her promise by turning all the traffic lights green, causing major accidents and injuries.
- Hijacking and launching multiple missiles at National City for her own amusement.
- To spite Supergirl, Indigo threatened to kill her friend Winn Schott. However, she failed when Winn uploaded a virus into her systems and temporarily erased her.
- With Non's help, released Myriad to take control of the minds of all of National City's human residents.
- During a fight with Martian Manhunter, she kidnapped Alex Danvers as a means of leverage against him and Supergirl.
- After National City broke free from their control, Indigo then tried to use the Myriad through the Omegahedron's signal to wipe out the human race by making their heads explode and leave Supergirl as "Queen of the Dead World".
- During the final fight just before she died, she tried to use Fort Rozz as a final ditch effort to deactivate the signal and kill all humans on Earth.
- Despite being an android, her sadism and delight in the suffering of others proves that she has complete awareness of her actions.
