Hyperion is the major antagonist of the series Avengers Assemble.

He was part of the Squadron Supreme, a false superhero team from a different planet. He first arrived to Earth initially identified as a superhero before revealing his true nature as a supervillains. Ever since, he is a major enemy to the super hero team, Avengers.

He was voiced by Brian Bloom.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]

  • In the past he and the Squadron Supreme forced Doctor Spectrum to blow up their home world after they failed to get the inhabitants to be subjugated.
  • He first appears seemingly as a hero by saving Earth from an incoming meteor, which is to earn everyone's trust.
    • However, the Avengers manage to see through Hyperion's true nature, after seeing how excessive Hyperion deals with criminals and villains that includes killing them.
    • When the world started to see who he truly is, Hyperion resorted to using violence on innocent people starting with a kid, but Falcon managed to save him.
    • Hyperion tried to kill the Avengers for showing mercy toward criminals, but was defeated and sent to S.H.I.E.L.D. prison.
  • After the Cabal freed Hyperion from prison, he joined them to get revenge towards the Avengers for his imprisonment not out of gratitude.
  • As a member of the Cabal, he participated in many crimes:
    • He attempted to kill Doctor Doom for refusing to join the Cabal.
    • He participated in stealing the Tesseract.
    • Hyperion wanted to conquered a planet as a reward given by the Red Skull before the latter revealed his true plan of eliminating other Cabal members before ruling Earth for himself.
    • Hyperion and the Cabal team up with the Avengers to stop the Red Skull for pragmatic reasons as they wanted to get their revenge for Red Skull's betrayal never really out of altruism.
  • He rescued Nighthawk from S.H.I.E.L.D. captivity for the plan to reunited their teams, Squadron Supreme and their plan to rule Earth.
  • When Hyperion and the Squadron Supreme encounter a Reality Stone, they used it to make themselves heroes while the Avengers become villains.
    • Also Hyperion wants to become a hero for fame never really out of heroism.
  • Hyperion worked with the Squadron Supreme to kill the Avengers before they conquered Earth.
    • When they conquered Earth, they captured and imprisoned the remaining heroes on Earth, and they rule Earth in a complete totalitarian.
    • Hyperion killed all the Atlanteans, who are loyal to Attuma in an attempt to conquer the surface world, but one, who was sent back as a message to their leader.
    • Hyperion attempted to kill world leaders, but the Avengers, who faked their death, manage to save them.
    • It is revealed that the Squadron Supreme never value each other as a team, and they only join up out of pragmatism.
    • Hyperion rules over Europe after the Squadron disbanded. However, Black Widow manages to defeat Hyperion.
    • He used Nuke by absorbing his energy to recharge his power and his attempt was to blow up Earth after the Avengers manage to defeat the Squadron Supreme.
      • He attempted to blow up Earth that includes his teammates.
      • When Captain America tried to reason Hyperion that Nighthawk has abandoned you and to stop him from blowing up Earth. However, Hyperion revealed that his alliance with the Squadron Supreme was nothing more out of pragmatism. However, the Avengers manage to stop Hyperion and defeat him as he is sent to the Vault for his crimes.
