Hugo Martinez is the final antagonist of the Rambo franchise, serving as the main antagonist of the 2019 film Rambo: Last Blood.
He is the leader of a drug cartel in Mexico (along with his brother, Victor) who is responsible for kidnapping Gabrielle and causing her death.
He was portrayed by Sergio Peris-Mencheta.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Together with his brother, he runs a drug trafficking ring where he kidnaps several women to make them his sexual slaves. he claims he doesn't care about his women and that he only sees them things and not as people.
- In the past, he and his cartel murdered journalist Carmen's sister, prompting Carmen to investigate them.
- He kidnaps Gabrielle to make her one of his slaves, rapes her, and then drugs her to death.
- Once he discovers that Rambo is Grabielle's grandfather, he and his men brutally attack him, and orders his face cut off and even lets him live to suffer the death of his granddaughter.
- While he tries to kill Rambo after he killed his brother, it is only because he is a threat to his sex trafficking operation, not because he genuinely cared about his brother. Besides, he is apathetic and unsurprised upon seeing Victor's decapitated head. And even then, it is clear throughout the film that neither of them get along, as they are often seen arguing and can barely work together.
