“ | Fools! You will not hold me any longer, Valdar! | „ |
~ Hevnoraak upon his awakening |
“ | Hevnoraak planned his resurrection obsessively before dying. [...] He had a way of enthralling people and built up a loyal army of followers. Good men fell under his spell and were forever twisted. Made... evil. After that, fear was enough to keep them in line. | „ |
~ Valdar |
Hevnoraak is a minor antagonist in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, being the main antagonist of the quest "Evil in Waiting."
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- When he was alive, he used his mind controlling powers to enthrall an army of followers from once-good people.
- He would torture his followers, causing them to be frightened enough to maintain their allegiance and thus follow his commands. This did not end even when he perished, as they were essentially bound in servitude to protect him, patrolling the catacombs of the ancient Nordic tomb Valthume.
- He set up traps to have people eaten by giant paralyzing spiders.
- His reign of terror came at the cost of Valdar having to sacrifice his life to maintain him in Valthume as a ghost.
