Herobrine is the main antagonist of the unofficial Minecraft book series Gameknight999. He serves as a supporting antagonist in Confronting the Dragon, the titular main antagonist of The Mystery of Herobrine, Herobrine Reborn and The Birth of Herobrine, and a titular posthumous antagonist in the Herobrine's Revenge series. He is an adaptation of the Minecraft urban legend of the same name.

Herobrine is an artificially intelligent virus that was created by Entity303 (who wanted revenge after being fired by Mojang). Despite being an AI, Herobrine has a clear moral agency, and is aware of all the chaos he is causing.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?

• He has a petty Freudian Excuse. He is causing havoc only because the villagers refused for him to help them, which does not justify his crimes in any way. This rejection also demonstrates that he has a clear Moral Agency, as he knows how to do good by wanting to help the villagers, but instead chooses to do evil out of spite.
• Took control of the Ender Dragon's body and attempted to commit mass murder.
• After getting killed the first time, he takes control of Herder's body (a friend of Gameknight999) via his XP, to prevent Gameknight999 from killing him (which would kill Herder too).
• Attempts to break free of the virtual world to wreak havoc and extirpate the human world.
• Has several mob kings and queens destroy villages and kill villagers out of vengeance, even after his death.
• Threatened to kill Oxus if he didn't let him detonate his creepers.

Trivia

• As of now, this incarnation of Herobrine is the only one to be Pure Evil, as the original Herobrine has no established plot or timeline tied to it, and all other versions of Herobrine do not meet the heinous standard or have some redeeming qualities.
