The Heart of Ender is the overarching antagonist of Minecraft Dungeons and the main antagonist of its Island Realms DLCs. It is also a cameo antagonist in Minecraft Legends and is speculated to play a larger role in the wider Minecraft franchise.
It is implied to be the physical heart of an all-powerful being from the End that had somehow been shattered into pieces. The Heart of Ender is a cruel, manipulative being that seeks to conquer the world before, in a fit of petty vengeance, moving on to destroying the entire multiverse.
What Makes It Pure Evil?[]
- Though it's basically akin to a demon, the Heart of Ender has clear moral agency, as it shared minds with the Arch-Illager, making it learn of morality and using that to twist Archie's views of what is right and wrong.
- Tried to take over the Overworld at least twice, possibly more than that.
- Killed countless civilians of the Overworld millennia before.
- It's been implied that it makes the Endersent take mobs from different dimensions and corrupt them in to the Enderlings and Endermen and force them to guard the End.
- Has been implied to have made the Endersent, Enderlings and Endermen create the Redstone Golems.
- Helped the Piglins almost conquer the Overworld by briefly causing an endless night and later upgrading the Great Hog's staff.
- It is also possible that it created the Great Hog, considering its appearance being slightly similar to the DLC bosses due to his Ender-purple eyes.
- It doesn't care for Archie, intending to rule the Overworld through him and feeding off his anger so that it could restore the Heart of Ender's physical form.
- Manipulated Archie to pour his hate over his rival Thord, so that he can kill him.
- Tried to manipulate Archie into killing Walda, leader of the Illagers, so that he can take her place. Archie refused, however.
- Ordered the Arch-Illager to burn many villages and either slaughter or enslave all the Villagers.
- Made Archie shed any care for his former friend Yumi, humiliating her.
- After its defeat, the shards of the Orb spread throughout the Overworld, corrupting creatures into homicidal monsters.
- When finally returned to the End, it sought to collide all dimensions together, so that it can destroy everyone and everything except for itself.
