Harold "Harry" Lime is the main antagonist of the 1949 British film The Third Man.
He was portrayed by the late Orson Welles, who also played Franz Kindler in The Stranger and voiced Unicron in Transformers: The Movie.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- He fakes his death to get away with his crimes by staging a car accident and having one of his associates killed in order to use his body as a decoy.
- He doesn't care about his lover, Anna, as he betrays her by having her arrested by the police.
- He steals penicillin from the hospital and sells it to the black market, which results in killing many people, including children.
- He kills Sergeant Paine before he himself is finally killed by Holly Martins, who discovered Lime's true colors.
- Overall lacks any redeeming traits and empathy despite his charisma and friendly facade, and he sees humans as spots that he can profit from.
