Harley Sawyer, also known as The Doctor, is the secondary antagonist of the Poppy Playtime AU: Remnant animatic YouTube series by SakuraArts.
He is a high-ranking scientist at Playtime Co. and founder of the Bigger Bodies Initiative, who alongside Eric Wilson and with the guidance of Leith Pierre, seeks to run his experiments on orphans forever.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Although a photo indicates him and Elliot were good friends a while back, it is unclear if it was ever genuine and he is cold and apathetic towards him in the present while forcefully preventing him from spending time with his family, likely subverting any possible friendship.
- He killed his cat, Thistle, as part of his experiments.
- Like his original counterpart, he approached Playtime Co.'s higher-ups and began the Bigger Bodies Initiative, mass transforming orphans into monstrous toys as slaves to abuse just to reduce employee payments.
- He distracted Elliot Ludwig's mourning daughter, Heather Newman, to have Eric sneak up on her, drug her, then turn her into Orchid.
- He adopted Bob, a toddler, from the orphanage, only to lock him in an isolated room and neglect him.
- He fed Bob human flesh for dinner to give him the appetite for it. When he got in a fight with his cat, Harley abused the boy (evident by his black eye) and refused to feed him dinner.
- He dragged Bob to Leith to await his next orders, then gave a sadistic smile as he locked the boy in the chamber, turning him into Boxy Boo to admire his creation.
- He lured a young Daisy Carmel away to experiment on her and have her become the Daisy the Flower toy.
- Because of his experiments, he is one of the main figures responsible for causing the Toys to begin the Hour of Joy to escape their abusive treatment, which led to all of the employees being murdered and turned into a hunting ground for Toys.
- While he does get angered at Bob touching his cat, it is likely this is out of wanting to abuse Bob and he doesn't genuinely care for his cat, instead viewing it in the same way as his other experiments, especially implied given the cat is confined in a room and likely never fed.
