Hades is the overarching antagonist of the Kid Icarus series. The god of the Underworld, he plans to strive and take over everything.
He was voiced by Hōchū Ōtsuka in Japanese and S. Scott Bullock in English.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- He revives Medusa making him directly responsible for all Medusa's crimes including her attempeted genocide on humanity
- He claims to have accidentally killed a little Girls parent in a chariot accident in the past, while it was considered to be an accident, it implies he didn’t even show any remorse for it.
- He uses the fake wishing seed to incite a massive war with all humanity hoping it will drive them to extinction so he can use their souls to increase the monsters in his army.
- He wages war against Viridi's Forces of nature for dominion over Earth
- While he does help Pit, Palutena, and Viridi fight the Aurum it is purely for pragmatic reasons as Earth is his to plunder and even then he still hinders Pit by sending his troops to fight him
- Laughs at Palutena's suffering under the possession of the Chaos Kin and even mockingly suggests that Pit should kill her.
- It is revealed his ultimate plan is to use the Souls to become all-powerful and take over the heavens and earth for himself meaning he is a universal threat as well as his hunger for death expands beyond earth.
- He eats and mold the souls of the dead to be part of his army which a Pit says means the Souls are unable to move on or just cease to exist and are unable to reincarnate which Hades' callously says he doesn't care about humanity.
- He attempted to stop Dark Pit from reviving Pit by attempting to kill him.
- He eats Pit and attempts to have his minions kill him inside his own body.
- After Pit destroys his heart (which doesn't kill him) Hades himself jokingly admits he was heartless to begin with, showing that he is fully aware of the atrocities he commits.
- He once again tries to kill Pit during their final battle.
- Kills Medusa when she tries to win her freedom from being his puppet.
- While he might be the funniest character in the entire game, it still does not detract from his heinousness. As a fact, most of his comedic moments just show how truly sadistic he is.
- This is also true in the post-credit scene, who appears relatively humorous, but this is not considered canon.
