I'm planning on doing one hell of a... MASSACRE!
~ Gray Fly
My stand is the Tower card, which signifies horrible accidents and the end of journey. I'll keep you from lord DIO if it's the last thing I do! Even if you manage to survive the crash, you're still ten thousand kilometers away from Egypt. Those who swore loyalty to lord DIO will pursue you relentlessly. You don't stand a chance in Hell! There are Stands in this world with powers that defy the very limits of imagination! Lord DIO's power is the one that rules over all of them! He is the master of Stands, reigning over the world like a god among mortals. There's no way you'll reach them alive! You bastards won't even see Egypt! Your deaths will be swift and painful!
~ Gray Fly

Gray Fly is a supporting antagonist in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders. He is one of the mercenaries hired by DIO and the first antagonist of the Stardust Crusaders fights that isn't possessed. He wields the Stand known as Tower of Gray.

In Japanese, was voiced by Mitsuaki Madono in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Heritage for the Future and by Katsumi Chō in the anime. He was voiced by Jay Preston in English.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]

  • Is responsible for causing several thefts and mass murders using his Stand, Tower of Gray, which are written off as ripping of the tongues of his victims on plane crashes or train accidents. One of these incidents in England resulted in the deaths of over 300 people.
  • Works for DIO and tries to have the Joestar Group killed, serving as their first villain who wasn't controlled by a flesh bud, but who actively chose to assist DIO because, as Avdol put it, he was always evil.
  • Despite being seemingly loyal to DIO and devoted to DIO's cause, it is more of a fanatical worship as he acknowledges the power of DIO's stand, and also more out of mutual sadism.
  • Attempts to kill Jotaro by ripping out his tongue.
  • Kills three passengers by ripping out their tongues, then using their blood to write a message onto the wall that says "massacre".
  • While he does have a minor comedic moment of freaking out and his dentures popping out in response to blood, this is all part of his façade to toy with the crusaders. Besides, this moment is way too brief to be detracting. And even then his humor is incredibly dark and sinister.
  • Continuously mocks his opponents during his fight, and during his brawl with Kakyoin, sadistically tells Kakyoin that he's going to rip out his Stand's tongue out and the pain he'll endure.
  • Kills the three pilots and rips their tongues out in order to ensure that the plane crashed, planning to take out not only the Joestar group, but all of the other passengers on the flight.
  • Before he dies, he taunts the Joestar group by saying they will never get to Egypt in time and that all of Dio's allies will be coming after them.
  • Although the JoJo franchise has a rather high Heinous Standard, Gray Fly stands out for having 300+ kills with very low resources, which even allows him to surpass Yoshikage Kira.
