Gordon Wick is one of the two main antagonists (alongside Ashley Redfield) of the 2023 Netflix action spy-thriller series The Night Agent.
He is the CEO of Turn Lake Industries and a government contractor who is the boss of assassins Ellen & Dale. He works with VP Ashley Redfield to orchestrate a public metro bombing in order to kill Omar Zadar and stage it as a terrorist attack, later looping in Diane Farr on the conspiracy.
He was portrayed by Ben Cotton.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Before the events of the series, Wick orchestrated many assassinations to expand his company for at least 8 years through his assassins Ellen & Dale.
- He and Redfield attempt to orchestrate a metro bombing through Wick's employee Colin Worley and take out 2 city blocks in D.C. to subtly assassinate the People's Liberation Front leader Omar Zadar.
- When the plan gets foiled, Gordon has his assassins kill Colin Worley's brother in an attempt to kill Colin Worley.
- They then blackmail Diane Farr and use her loyalty to President Travers to cover up their involvement.
- Gordon sets up assassinations and tortures of anyone who comes close to the truth of the bombing through Dale and Ellen, including Rose Larkin's parents and their handler, FBI Deputy Director Hawkins.
- When Redfield's daughter gets kidnapped by Colin who is seeking revenge, Gordon initially holds back this information from Redfield and threatens to kill him if he dares to give in to Worley and confess, and this is after Redfield states he will avoid mentioning them to the press.
- While Farr attempts to comfort a grief-stricken Redfield, Wick just looks bored while this is happening and doesn't attempt to sympathize with Redfield at all, saying that he's fine if Redfield's daughter gets hurt.
- After Dale's death, which Wick is not very concerned about, he manipulates Ellen into having her try to kill Peter Sutherland, Rose Larkin, Erik Monks, Colin Worley, Chelsea Arrington, and even Redfield's daughter if necessary. When he learns Ellen died, he doesn't care and is only concerned of who answered Ellen's phone.
- He then shuts Farr out of his & Redfield's further plans to bomb Camp David, which would kill hundreds of people, not only to kill Zadar, but to kill President Travers and have Redfield become president to issue Wick pardons to get away with his crimes.
Trivia[]
- While Gordon Wick is currently Pure Evil, this could change when Season 2 of The Night Agent is released, as the showrunner implied that Sutherland & Wick might oppose each other again.
