If it were that easy obtain an immortal body my dear it wouldn't be sporting, now would it?
~ Gold Toothed Doctor to Riza Hawkeye.

The Gold Toothed Doctor is a major antagonist in the Fullmetal Alchemist manga and 2009 anime Brotherhood. He is an old man who possesses his own Philosopher's Stone and was responsible for turning King Bradley into a Homunculus. He is never named and only ever addressed as Doctor. He gets his name from his one gleaming golden tooth.

He was voiced by Bon Ishihara in the Japanese version, and Mark Stoddard in the English dubbed version.

History[]

This section is too long. Visit here for more details: Gold Toothed Doctor's Synopsis on the Villains Wiki.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]

  • Knew full-well what Father's plans for the country were and still supported him in sacrificing the nation of Amestris.
  • Was the Head Scientist of the program that trained several children to become the Fuhrer of Amestris, where they'd be injected with a Philosopher's Stone, which resulted in the deaths of at least eleven candidates.
  • Turned Bradley into Father's final Homunculus: Wrath, personally injecting the Philosopher's Stone into Bradley.
  • Uses five of the leftover candidates from the Fuhrer training program as sacrifices to fuel his transmutation circle while widely grinning.
  • Activates a transmutation circle that sends all the human sacrifices directly to Father's lair to be used for the Nationwide Transmutation Circle.
  • Attempts to force Roy to perform human transmutation and become the fifth sacrifice.
  • Orders one of his soldiers to fatally injure Hawkeye as an incentive for Mustang to open the Portal.
  • When Roy refuses to perform Human Transmutation even with Hawkeye's life at stake, he hypocritically berates Roy for abandoning one of his closest comrades.
  • Despite his devotion to the plan, when Mustang tells him he should open the Portal if he really wants there to be a fifth sacrifice, the doctor remains silent, demonstrating his sense of selfishness and unwillingness to sacrifice himself for his cause.
  • When Roy calls him out for using his men as sacrificial pawns, the doctor justifies himself by saying his men are ready to lay down their lives for him since he gave their lives meaning, showing no remorse or sadness over their deaths.
  • When subdued by Jerso, begins cowardly begging for his life and reminding them he's the only doctor there and the only one who could save Hawkeye.

Trivia[]

  • In the Manga and 2009 anime of Brotherhood, he, alongside Shou Tucker and Father, are the only three original villains of the Fullmetal Alchemist series to be Pure Evil.
