Gihwan Kang is one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Gyeongshik Kim) of the survival horror web-manwha Forest of Humans, created by Junho Hwang.
A brutal serial rapist and murderer, Gihwan Kang was one of the ten death row convicts chosen to be experimented on at the facility, and is considered one of the worst ones and the sole one who was not released by the others to protect themselves.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Was a brutal serial rapist and serial murder we who was responsible for the rapes and murders of 20 people, with one incident of him hiring a group of poachers, only to rape and murder them all out of sadism.
- When attempted to be interviewed about his childhood or potential loved ones, Gihwan simply says that they’re wasting their time and that he would using this time to murder someone, showing how truly cruel and sociopathic he is.
- He was so dangerous, he was the only one of the prisoner’s not released during the breakout, all in order to ensure he wouldn’t kill all of them.
- When Jaejun Park comes in and lets Gihwan out, he immediately attacks and beats Jaejun unconscious before going off to try and get his straight jacket off and begin to murder spree in the facility.
- Meeting the brain damaged Gyeongshik Kim and incapacitating Junho Park, Gihwan tries goading Gyeongshik into torturing him to death for his enjoyment.
- Having burned his straight jacket off and brutally murdered Gyeongshik, he attacks and brutally beats up Jaejun into a pulp as the others fled, hoping to beat him to death.
- Managing to bluff Ru Ha and suspecting her and Jaejun as lovers, he plays a sick “game” as he tries to rape Ru Ha as he makes Jaelyn watch and crawl to the buzzsaw, trying to force Ru Ha to comply by beating up Jaejun more. While Gihwan is tricked and killed, Jaejun possibly dies of his injured and bloodlost.
- Has the highest body count of the entire story, raping and killing 20 people, while cruelly trying to rape Ru Ha in front of Jaejun, making him one of the most vile characters in Forest of Humans.
