“ | You awake? Hello? T'Challa? Good. I'm glad you're unconscious. I thought maybe the sedative might have run out. The mask helps my conscience, but not as much when you're squirming. I was going to do a little work today. See if I couldn't figure some things out. Sadly, the meal I had earlier isn't going to last long enough for me to keep a clear head. Looks like I'm going to have to carve off another piece. You don't have a preference, do you? I figured I'd start in on your legs before I finished off your arm. Y'know,--the others would kill me if they knew I had you down here. They wouldn't understand. You'd be gone and I'd always be hungry. Can't think when I'm hungry. You understand, don't you? Don't worry--I always clean the tools after I use them. Never know when I'm going to come down here in a rush needing a bite to eat. And I don't want you getting infected--with mine or any other disease or infection. I need you here--human--for as long as I can hold out. You understand, right? I don't enjoy this--I think it's sick. I do it for the good of us all. I like to think that if I didn't keep you so drugged you'd volunteer for this. That said, I'm not going to let the drugs wear off so I can ask--so I guess I am a monster. You want to hear something really scary? Well, something that scares me, at least. I like the way flesh tastes. Really, I do. If I were to somehow find a cure for whatever's going on with us--if things went back to the way they were...or as close as they could get... I think I'd still eat people. That terrifies me. Really. The scary part is that it's the only thing about all this that terrifies me. And I just sawed a friend's foot off so I can eat it. | „ |
~ Giant-Man to Black Panther while cutting off a piece of him. |
Henry "Hank" Pym, better known as Giant-Man, is the overarching antagonist of the entire 2005-2009 Marvel Zombies comic book metaseries, which takes place in a alternate version of the Marvel Universe, called Earth-2149, where all super-powered beings became infected by an extraterrestrial virus which transformed them into Zombies.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Unlike his mainstream counterpart, who was a hero, the Giant-Man of Earth-2149 became utterly evil after being infected by the Hunger Virus to the point he stripped himself from all those positive and redeeming qualities he may have had once. He even commented that if he was cured from the Hunger Virus, he would still eat human flesh as he had come to like it.
- Once the infection started, he tricked Black Panther into following him to knock him out and then stored him on his laboratory to slowly eat him once the zombies devoured all people in the world. Though Black Panther escaped, he did so without one of his feet and one of his arms.
- Went with the other zombies to Latveria so they could devour all the Latverians that Doctor Doom gathered, though they failed as Doom send them to other universes with a portal of his.
- Tried to devour Earth-1610's Reed Richards (who at that point, hadn't done nothing yet to deserve it) along with the other zombies.
- Chased Magneto through the streets of the destroyed New York City along with the other zombies and mercilessly devoured him along with his teammates while ordering the zombified Hulk to just eat one of Magneto's feet.
- When the zombified Wasp discovered that he had stored Black Panther for himself and didn't plan to share him with the others, he enlarged himself and bit off his wife's head so she would not eat his food.
- Attacked Silver Surfer along with the other zombies and devoured him. Upon gaining Silver Surfer's Cosmic Powers, he and the rest of the Zombie Galacti fried and devoured the other zombies to test if they had a better taste once fried, though their taste was still bad.
- Constructed a weapon along with the Zombie Galacti to incapacitate Galactus and devoured him once he and the others killed all surviving zombified supervillains, who also wanted to claim Galactus.
- Taking Galactus' title as "Devourers of Worlds" with his Cosmic Powers, he and the Zombie Galacti took their hunger to the stars, attacking and devouring all life in the universe over forty years, even zombifying individuals like Thanos, Gladiator, Dark Phoenix and Firelord.
- On their way back to Earth to repair Tony Stark's portal so they could go to another universe, he and the Zombie Galacti stopped on Ego the Living Planet and devoured him for missing him the first time they visited that zone of the outer space.
- Once the Zombie Galacti returned to Earth and discovered that Black Panther had ruled over a group of survivors on New Wakanda all that time, stopped the Hulk from attacking the survivors but not because he wanted to atone for his past actions; he restrained Hulk because he wanted to create a human breeding program to have food for all eternity.
- Sided with the Zombie Galacti who wanted to change and the humans/mutants to face those zombies who still wanted to eat humans. Although it's debatable whether Giant-Man did wanted to redeem himself at this point or not as he had noted that his hunger had faded away, once he's teleported to Earth-91126 all his way to possibly redeem himself is completely undone.
- Upon arriving on Earth-91126, devoured Uatu the Watcher (though that didn't actually kill Uatu) and gloated that with the Watcher's technology, he could make the multiverse his own "all-you-can-eat buffet".
- When infiltrating Earth-91126's Stark Industries, infected Happy Hoogan by biting off one of his arms and part of his torso, sending Happy to infect the other employees and causing a chaos that resulted in the deaths of that universe's Pepper Potts and Tony Stark just to obtain the technology he needed for his multiversal portal.
- Infected the exiled Earth-91126's Hulk on the moon and allowed him to return to Earth, starting chaos on Earth and eventually leading to all human life going extinct on Earth-91126 just like it happened in his own universe.
- With the help of the Earth-91126's Avengers, was able to get rid of his universe's Black Panther, Luke Cage and even the Wasp when they sided with alien species to defeat him due his plans.
- Before being finally killed by his universe's zombified Spider-Man with the help of Earth-91126's Sandman, trapped Earth-91126's Sentry to power his multiversal portal as he needed the Sentry's energy to charge it, betraying one of his allies while leaving the others to fight Spidey's New Avengers.
- Due to his dangerous actions, Giant-Man's zombie threat ultimately led Earth-91126's Uatu the Watcher to send the Sentry to Earth-2149's past so he could start the Hunger Virus again in a time paradox which could contain the infection in that two universes so it would not spread to other parts of the multiverse, which means that Giant-Man's selfishness led to the destruction of two whole universes in his quest to eat all life in existence.
