General Modula is the main antagonist of the 2010 Cartoon Network animated sci-fi action mecha series Sym-Bionic Titan.

He was once the General of the planet Galaluna, and a dear friend to the king. However, during a battle at an enemy planet Muttrad, the army and the king barely made it out alive, but unfortunately left Modula alive, then Modula changed and lead the Mutraddi to invade Galaluna to take revenge on them. Now he was after the princess of Galaluna, Ilana so he can fully rule Galaluna.

He was voiced by Don Leslie, who also played Ra's al Ghul in Batman: Dark Tomorrow.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]

  • Despite having been an accomplished general who deeply cared about his people, he betrayed his home planet by siding with the Mutraddi.
  • He masterminds the takeover of the planet Galaluna, conspiring with the commander of Galaluna's army to weaken Galaluna and conquer it with his Mutraddi army.
  • Has the King, who was once his close friend, imprisoned and hung up by chains.
  • Sends multiple Mutraddi beasts to planet Earth in an attempt to eliminate the princess, which often results in mass destruction and the deaths of innocent civilians.
  • Defeats an army of rebel soldiers, and when one of them says he'll be dethroned one day, coldly smiles and kills him, merely stating that he might be dethroned, but not today.
  • To get the King to reveal how his Mutraddi beasts keep getting defeated, orders one of his Mutraddi, Xeexi, to interrogate him by entering his body, painfully torturing the King.
  • One of the beasts he sent, Tashy497, was explained to be powerful enough to destroy the planet, yet Modula still sent it regardless, showing no consideration over the loss of a planet and the billions of lives that would have been killed, only caring about the death of the princess.
  • He has no problem killing his minions, as he evaporated Duraak for the failure of his creature to kill Ilana, then threatens to inflict the same punishment on a nearby minion if he can't find a Mutraddi to eliminate the princess.
  • Killed an alien mobster, who offered his beast to eliminate the princess and even bet his life on its power, when his beast failed to kill Ilana, mockingly stating that he should've bet something else.
  • Wanted to kill Princess Ilana in order to eliminate the hope of the people of Galaluna and firmly establish himself as the planet's ruler.
  • His excuse of being left behind on Muttrad by the King is extremely slim, since the King saw him "killed" before his own eyes and only left Modula because he had believed him to be dead, barely escaping with his own life, and it does not justify his cruel behavior or the betrayal of his own planet.

Trivia[]

  • There is a theory that General Modula is in fact being controlled by a Mutraddi creature, which explains his oversize hat (which has its own laser-shooting eye and an ability to control other Mutraddi), and the fact that the audience never sees his eyes except for in flash backs which date back before he first met the Mutraddi. However, since the series was cancelled and his character was never explored more in-depth, this remains unclear, so unless the series gets renewed (as Genndy Tartakovsky has hinted the possibility of bringing the show back or making a sequel feature film to wrap up its story), Modula currently qualifies as Pure Evil.
  • General Modula is, alongside the Galalunan Commander one of the two Sym-Bionic Titan villains to be Pure Evil.
