Gatanothor is an ancient monster and the final antagonist in Ultraman Tiga. He is a powerful and ancient dark god that seeks to encapsulate the Earth in eternal darkness.
He is based on the Cthulhu Mythos villain Ghatanothoa.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Unlike other Kaiju who are just mindless beasts or sympathetic monsters, Gatanothor is an elder god with a mind of his own and has a clear Moral Agency.
- Plunging the world into darkness, causing the fall of Ancient Human Civilization.
- After being re-awakened after thousands of years of sleep, he started to terrorize while slowly fading Earth in darkness.
- While fighting him, he petrified Ultraman Tiga just to get him out of his way.
- Despite being killed by the hands of Glitter Tiga, his actions brought influence to Camearra, which led her being jealous of Daigo/Tiga's love interest and causing most of the events of Ultraman Tiga: The Final Odyssey.
- Even after his death, Gatanozoa is one of more than a hundred monsters that make up Belyudra, a gigantic chimeric monster controlled by Ultraman Belial in Mega Monster Battle: Ultra Galaxy Legends The Movie.
