Ganondorf is the main antagonist of the 2000 manga The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, based upon the 1998 video game of the same name and a cameo character in its sequel The Legend Of Zelda: Majora's Mask.
He is the power hungry ruler of the Gerudo tribe and an evil advisor to the king of Hyrule. Within the manga he is presented as being far more despicable and heinous than his original counterpart.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Wishing to conquer Hyrule, Ganondorf offers his allegiance to the King of Hyrule with the full intention of betraying him later.
- Transforms a harmless spider into the monstrous Gomha which kills the Great Deku Tree.
- Almost starves the Gorons to death by using King Dodongo to keep them out of Dodongo's Cavern.
- Takes power by murdering Princess Zelda's father and nearly killing a young Link.
- Callously shatters Link's fairy ocarina he stole from the former which was the gift from Link's close friend, Saria after mistaking it for Zelda's Ocarina of Time.
- Brainwashes the Gerudo Tribe.
- Allows the Kokiri Forest to be overrun with monsters, not caring that the inhabitants are eternal children.
- Brainwashes Link's sapient pet dragon Volvagia into becoming a mindless beast that rampages across Death Mountain, and furthermore schemes to have Darunia fed to Volvagia.
- Ganondorf prepares to let Volvagia raze Hyrule with a volcanic eruption, forcing Link to kill him.
- After Ingo fails to stop Link from taking Epona, Ganondorf nearly has him executed on the spot, only sparing him when Twinrova suggests that they brainwash Ingo into attacking Link.
- Freezes Zora's Domain, almost decimating the Zora people in the process.
- Kidnapping and possessing Princess Zelda.
- Attempting to crush Link and Zelda by making his own tower collapse.
- Lacks the sympathetic traits of his video game counterpart, like having Demise's curse placed upon him, his begrudging respect for Link, or his tragic backstory, or his care for the Gerudo Tribe.
