Ga'ran Sigatar Khura'In is the overarching antagonist in the Apollo Justice Trilogy of the Ace Attorney franchise.
She is the overarching antagonist of Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney and the main antagonist of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Spirit of Justice.
She was the Queen of Khura'in for 23 years, following the assassination of her sister Amara. Over those next few years, she phased in the Defense Culpability Act, which declared that attorneys would receive the same sentence as their clients. She now held absolute power within the country. She was also responsible for the murder of Apollo Justice's father, Jove Justice.
She is voiced by Gara Takashima.
What Makes Her Pure Evil[]
- She attempted to murder her sister Amara by burning the royal residence and she pinned Dhurke Sahdmadhi for the crime.
- In the fire, she killed Jove Justice while he was trying to save his son Apollo Justice and later attempts to kill Apollo because him surviving would have complicated things for her.
- Although Amara survived, Ga'ran forced her to fake her own death so she could usurp the throne and to have an impersonator that could channel spirits, which was a requirement to be the queen and a task the queen was regularly requested to do.
- She tricked Dhurke into using forged evidence in his trial so she could use it to sabotage his defense and create public hatred against defense attorneys.
- She turned Khura'in into a dictatorship and controlled the populace with an iron fist.
- She established the Defense Culpability Act, which executed countless innocent lawyers and citizens.
- She blackmailed Nahyuta Sahdmadhi into going against his father by threatening to expose Rayfa as Dhurke's daughter.
- She constantly abused her niece Rayfa by gaslighting and belittling her. In the trial of Dhurke, she also humiliated her in front of the court by mocking her chest size.
- She killed her husband Inga and pinned the crime on Dhurke.
- She attempted to assassinate Amara during the trial of Dhurke when she was going to expose her.
- She blackmailed Nahyuta into falsely confessing to be the culprit, and although his innocence was proven in that matter, she tried to use the Defense Culpability Act to get him convicted anyway.
- After Apollo Justice and Phoenix Wright exposed her as the culprit, she attempted to have them executed by changing the law to ban any kind of opposition to her. That rule, alongside the Defense Culpability Act were rendered null when Apollo proved that she could not channel spirits.
