Frederick DeLamb, also known as Baron Bedlam, is a major antagonist in Young Justice: Outsiders, the third season of Young Justice. He is a high-ranking official in the Markovian monarchy. He was the brother to the queen. He was the leader of the criminal organization called Bedlam Syndicate that abducted children to have them experimented on to test for the meta-gene. He wanted to take control of Markovia for himself.
He was voiced by Nolan North. who also voiced the Penguin in the Batman: Arkham series, Dr. Branden Moses in Generator Rex, Marcus Octavius in Highlander: The Search for Vengeance and David in The Last of Us.
What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Frederick led the criminal organization called Bedlam Syndicate. He tasked his subordinates with abducting children from a hospital. He had the children placed in tubes to fill with tar to test for the meta-gene. The process was torturous to the children and it had a high fatality rate.
- If the children test positive for the meta-gene, the children survived. Frederick would have them rounded-up and sold on the black market as slaves to criminals.
- If they tested negative for the meta-gene, the children died as a result of the torturous experiments. Frederick would have the children buried in mass graves near his hideout.
- He subjected his nephew and niece, Brion and Tara, to the tar experiments on separate occasions. He had Tara sold on the black market to cover up his crimes.
- Frederick hired an assassin to murder the queen of Markovia, his sister, and the king. His agenda was to try and take power for himself with his sister dead to enact his agenda on the nation. He intended to push policies against the Quraci people who he held prejudicial views against.
- Frederick murdered the assassin who killed his sister and the king to tie up any loose ends.
- When he was exposed for having the meta-gene and exposed for his criminal organization, Frederick lied and stated that he committed his actions for the benefit of the country.
- Frederick escaped from prison and attempted a coup in order to take control of Markovia again.
- He confronted Brion and Tara and mocked them for being orphans even though he was the one responsible for murdering their parents.
- In his last moments, he fought against a frustrated Brion and egged him on about the fact that he will never back down to him.

- He, alongside Black Beetle and Granny Goodness are the only three Young Justice villains to be Pure Evil.
