“ Unfortunate prey caught in his nest...He consumes their noble purity to the last drop. „
~ One of the Head Trancy's assistants describing his child trafficking.

The Former Head Trancy is the posthumous overarching antagonist of the anime-exclusive Black Butler/Kuroshitsuji II. He was the previous head of the Trancy household, as well as a pedophile who harbors an interest in sexually abusing children.

He was voiced by Shinya Fukumatsu in the Japanese version, and Charlie Campbell in the English dubbed version, who also voices Toyohisa Sengūji in Psycho-Pass.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]

  • Even though the show has plenty of characters that are heinous in their own rights, some even committing mass murder, The Head Trancy's crimes are unique to all other characters in that his crimes primarily involve the trafficking of children. Adding onto that, although a few other pedophilic interactions have occurred in the show, such as when Aleister Chamber attempted to feel up Ceil, disguised as a little girl, or when Claude got aroused by being soaked in Alois' blood, the Head Trancy is the most prolific pedophile in the show, given how many children he abducted and raped. Not to mention that the most the former two did was far less heinous than his act of pedophilia, theirs being limited to pedophilia at best while Trancy’s pedophilia was limited to committing rape at worst.
    • Though the majority of all of the rapes that the Head Trancy commits are off-screen, he is shown raping Alois, albeit in a few picture shots and the house itself along with all the other boys showing further onscreen evidence serving as a crime scene. You can also see many bruises on Alois' body in the very beginning of the first episode, also indicating that he was violently raped.
    • Additionally, the Head Trancy's brother, Arnold Trancy explains both the kidnapping of his first son, Alois Trancy, as well as his wife, Countess Trancy, committing suicide due to the loss of said son when he first meets Jim, indicating that both of these events are likely what got the Head Trancy the way he was in the show in the first place. However, none of these excuses his actions, as he himself still kidnapped children against their will, and wanted to have sex with them as a response to this. His relationship with his wife and son when they were still alive are also unexplained in the show.
  • He sends his servants out to abandoned villages in order to abduct any "pure" orphaned boys that they might find and bring them to his mansion.
  • When they're brought to the mansion, the Head Trancy lines them all up and checks to see the quality of each of them. If he finds a physical quality of theirs he doesn't happen to like, he beats them with his cane. For example, he shows utter disdain for Jim Macken, who would later adapt the name of the Head Trancy's kidnapped son "Alois Trancy", after being adopted by the Head Trancy, all because of the color of his eyes, which remind him of the appearance of filthy drain water.
    • This abusive attitude, as well as his eventual repeated raping towards Alois, was a significant factor that played into Alois' personality in the show, being a sadistic, flirtatious ruler of the mansion despite his young age.
  • Soon after the testing, all of the boys are brought down into a secret cellar in the mansion where they will reside for the rest of their lives. While there, they all wear nothing but a cloth wrapped around their waists.
  • Adding to all of this, the Head Trancy refers to all of the boys that he abducts as if they were his personal sex toys. He refers to the boys as "dolls", "broken", or "fragile".
  • Additionally, he shows little concern for the children when they turned ill from an epidemic in the area, complaining that he'll have to have sex with Jim, the only boy that didn't get sick.
