Fernando Vera was the secondary antagonist of the series Mr. Robot.
He was a tyrannical kingpin who was at first obsessed with Shayla until he had her killed and then moved on his obsession to the main protagonist, Elliot Alderson. He would do anything to get his object of infatuation in his arms, even if it means hurting the ones they love.
He was portrayed by Elliot Villar.

What Makes Him Pure Evil?[]
- Of all the people Elliot Alderson has hacked, he considers Vera to be the absolute worst.
- Though he has a freudian excuse, being a history of depression and dependence on drug abuse as well as being molested, this only makes Vera a hypocrite as he's more than willing to bring the same misery onto others.
- Furthermore, the only source we have on Vera being molested, is Vera himself. Given that he had just found out Elliot was molested by his father and intended to gaslight Elliot into thinking he was his savior (as well as the fact that Vera is an established liar), it's very likely he was making this up in order to gain sympathy.
- Though in his first appearance he does tell Elliot that he's not even proud of how he is, Vera goes on to claim that his self hatred gives him power and shows no remorse for any of his crimes.
- He abused, drugged and raped Shayla several times whenever she'd refuse to go out with him.
- He trafficked drugs and weapons across New York City, leading to much death and destruction in the process.
- After he found out that it was Elliot who tipped him off, he manipulated Elliot into hacking him out of prison with the threat of having Shayla killed. It's later revealed he killed her anyway.
- Had his brother, Isaac, shot and killed after he escaped prison. Although one could argue this is not heinous and Vera was aware of Isaac's plan to kill him, even if he wasn't, it was stated Vera still would have had him killed anyway as Isaac indirectly lead to Vera's arrest in the first place.
- He took full control of his own home country Dominican Republic and even manipulated the president and god knows what kind of tyranny did he run there.
- He moved his obsession onto Elliot as he returned to New York with the belief he was meant to rule there and Elliot is his true partner.
- He killed his henchman D.J. because he wasn't "detail oriented" about Krista confronting Elliot.
- He kidnapped Krista in her own home and abused her into giving more information about Elliot.
- He then kidnapped Elliot and constantly threatened to rape and kill Krista in front of him.
- Psychologically abused Elliot into remembering his childhood trauma and then swooped in as his savior, gaslighting him that he was doing it for his own good.
- While he appeared to be saddened by the revelation that Elliot's father molested him, this was only a facade to help gaslight Elliot into thinking Vera did it for him.
- Despite Mr. Robot's high Heinous Standards, Vera stands out due to his personal villainy against Elliot. As well as being one of the few confirmed rapists in the series.
